Chloe Lang began devouring romance novels during summers between college semesters as a respite to the rigors of her studies. Soon, her lifelong addiction was born, and to this day, she typically reads three or four books every week.
For years, the very shy Chloe tried her hand at writing romance stories, but shared them with no one. After many months of prodding by an author friend, Sophie Oak, she finally relented and let Sophie read one. As the prodding turned to gentle shoves, Chloe ultimately did submit something to Siren-BookStrand. The thrill of a life happened for her when she got the word that her book would be published.
3.75 out of 5. By this time in the saga, Jessica Green is determined to hunker down and find out why the accidents at the mine continue to happen. Her life has been in danger several times and there just doesn't seem to be any answers. There are even hints that brother Austin is trying to get rid of her for personal as well as professional reasons. The other brothers find this hard to believe. Dallas Wilde's attraction to Jessica is highlighted in this episode--a man who has had women hanging off him ever since he reached adulthood. He is a BDSM master and is concerned that even though he believes she is "the One" for them, she may not be able to fit in with the sexual tastes and lifestyle that all the brothers desire, some more than others. Jessie continues to be overwhelmed by being the love interest of four men and her response to them causes her to look deep in her heart--does she really have the capacity to love them all? It seems that Ms Lang is getting into her stride as these ebooks emerge. Obviously the back story continues and the family context complete with the mother and the dads and even the granddad enrich the reader's understanding of these brothers. Jessica's own personal situation is a part of this story with an ex-fiance who is gay--they had really agreed to a sham engagement to get Jessica's dad off her case--but Michael turns out to be a very good friend and a haven for her when things get overwhelming. The relationship between Dallas & Jessica is much more intense, and not only does Jessie discover some deeper truths about herself, but Dallas does as well.
I'm not about to gush over the book but I am a happy camper. The sex scenes are improving for me and there was a lot more story which thrilled me. Looking back at the first two books I can say that the focus was mostly on sex. Very little going on with the investigation, Jessie's reason for being in Wilde. I was disappointed in that.
Now in book 3 I got to spend more time with Dallas and the story is moving forward. The emotional connection I was missing before was finally present and aside from Jessie throwing a temper tantrum like a 12 year old girl, I enjoyed this book a lot more than the previous 2.
I'm looking forward to reading book 4 and seeing the story progress more.
If the evil that is plaguing the Wilde mines doesn’t get Jessie first, she may very well die of sensory overload thanks to the Wilde brothers.
Jessie may not be making a lot of headway in learning who has been sabotaging the Wilde mines but the same can’t be said for her progressing relationship with its smoking hot owners…except for oldest brother Austin. Meeting and hooking up with not one but four of the brothers’ Wilde was never on Jessie’s agenda when she came to Nevada.
If you’ve been ravenously gobbling up Ms. Lang’s Wilde Nevada series as I have, you’ve already enjoyed the passionate first love Jessie found with Jackson and the soul searing and consuming love of Phoenix. Hold onto to your hats and start practicing your “Sirs” because in book three we get to know middle brother, Dallas Wilde. We got just a teasing sample of Dallas in book two that merely whet our appetites to watch him have some one on one time with Jessie. Ms. Lang does not disappoint in Running Wilde.
Where Jackson and Phoenix are careful to not push Jessie and are struggling to decide how to tell her their plan, Dallas is straighter to the point. He recognizes the submissive in Jessie and knows that training her may be the key to winning over Austin in the long run.
Each new story in this series is better than the last. Ms. Lang is still a fairly new author but it doesn’t show in her writing. Her characters are all unique and relatable. She does a tremendous job of building the chemistry between Jessie and Dallas while maintaining the love and passion she already felt for Jackson and Phoenix. With this type of series I think that not losing focus on what has already been built up in the readers mind is important.
Jessie shows a lot of personality in this story. She is curious about her own limits but isn’t going to be used or lied to. I like her spunk. Dallas’s character is perfect for how this series is progressing. Where Jackson and Phoenix were the appetizers I think Dallas and Denver are more main course type men. There is a tangible build up that seems to be pointing towards Jessie and Austin. I haven’t decided who’s the dessert, Jessie or Austin, but it is sure to be decadent either way. Don’t forget someone is still out there ready to spoil it all for Jessie and her men. He or she makes their presence known in Running Wilde and someone ends up hurt. You’ll have to read the book to find out who it is!
Ms. Lang is building towards something big in book six and you don’t want to miss the journey in getting there. Pick up Running Wilde today if you’re already involved with the Wilde men, or go read Jackson and Phoenix’s stories first to see how it all began. It’s not too late get a little Wilde!
I enjoyed reading Running Wilde [The Brothers of Wilde, Nevada 3] (Siren Publishing LoveXtream), all about Jessica the investigator for the Wilde Mine & the four younger Wilde brothers. In book three Jessie gets to spend time with Dallas the third oldest Wilde brother he's giving her a chance to get a taste of what BDSM is all about and getting to know him better. She also gets to meet Pappa Jack their grandfather, who gets hurt in an explosion at the old mine. The author wrote a very interesting story that started with book one and encompasses everything in between till book six. In each of the books you get to know more about the brothers individually, their extended family & the added problems with the mine. I've read book one thru three and am hooked, on Wilde, Nevada. Read this book it will make you laugh, cry, sigh, shake your head and cum up a storm! It's amazing watching the wheels turn in Jessie's head, as she try's to come to terms with enjoying being with three guys & no less three brothers. She worries they will be jealous of each other, but that's not their way, and she's trying to come to terms with this type of relationship. Give Wilde, Nevada a chance, I'm sure you will agree with me this is one amazing place.
Now that Jessie's life is in danger, the Wilde brothers are doing what they can to protect her. Dallas is finally getting a chance for some one on one time with Jessie, when Phoenix arranges for them to be alone without consulting Jessie the reaction is not quite what Dallas expects. Jesse knows her feelings are strong for the Wilde brothers, but she feels like she is not seeing the whole picture and when it is revealed by someone else she is furious and hurt. Dallas has to earn back her trust, and as another threat is made on her life the tension is building trying to keep her safe.
Each story seems to kick up a notch and this one doesn't disappoint. Dallas is all Cowboy, the nice thing about this series is all the brothers are vastly different but when it comes to Jessie they all have one common goal, to make her happy.
Running Wilde, the third book in The Brothers of Wilde, Nevada series, continues to weave together Jessie’s developing relationship with the Wilde brothers with the mystery of the mining accidents. The suspense is still slowly building (though I wish there was more). And like the earlier books in the series, this is a quick read with a fluid flow.
Lang has hit her stride in this book as they keep getting better. I am more sold than ever on the series and am waiting impatiently for the next release. ** Note that readers must read this in order because of the nature of the series. **
As the saga progresses, Jessie faces the harsh reality of deception. My heart went out to her, knowing that she has been betrayed in the past and the devastating impact these secrets will have on her tenuous relationship with her sexy Cowboys. But Jessie is a fighter, so I loved that she stood her ground and demanded honesty and trust from her men. But the danger isn't over; Jessie discovers someone definitely wants her dead, when tragedy strikes and a soft hearted old man's life, hangs in the balance. Things are really heating up in Wilde, Nevada, so buckle up, and hold on for the ride!
Now in book three of the series more information is revealed and someone is making more attempts to harm Jessie and the Wilde Brothers. In this book Dallas takes his turn at the wheel and introduces her a bit more into the BDSM lifestyle. Jessie is working out her feelings about the Wilde Brothers but will she be able to handle them all? Can Jackson, Phoenix, and Dallas convince Denver and Austin that Jessie is the one for them? Will they be able to save her from the ever increasing danger? I'll find out in book four!
I'm not a huge fan of BDSM, so I wasn't thrilled with this one. But I'm going to continue with this series. I hope that in the next one she focuses a little more in the investigation, which is the real reason she is there.
great characters. whilst it is a menage story there is a story line and not just sex which I love. looking forward to reading the last three in the series
