Juan Abreu es un escritor cubano residente en Barcelona. Entre sus obras publicadas en España destacan las novelas Garbageland (Mondadori, 2001); Gimnasio (Poliedro, 2002); Accidente (De Bolsillo, 2004); Cinco cervezas (Poliedro, 2005); Diosa (Tusquets, 2007) y Una educación sexual (Linkgua, 2012). nel complesso la storia iper distopica non è male, alcuni spunti sono originali e estremamente visionari. forse quello che mi ha un po' bloccato, oltre la prosa a volte abbastanza pesante, è l'eccessiva spezzettatura della narrazione, che solo negli ultimi capitoli si riordina raccogliendo fatti e personaggi, quando però, probabilmente, è troppo tardi.
