This book is exceptional, changed my perception of praise and worship. It gave me a better understanding and opened my heart and soul to the deeper meaning. Connecting with God in the spirit while singing praises to Him.

This was my third (or maybe fourth) time reading The Great Connection, and each time, it leaves me deeply convicted. The central message—that we need to connect with God rather than waiting for Him to connect with us—resonates profoundly.
Through Jesus Christ’s death, we were granted unprecedented access to God’s throne of grace, symbolized so powerfully by the tearing of the temple veil. This book is an invitation to step boldly into that privilege by following the biblical protocols for praise and worship.
Pastor Bonnie Deuschle’s writing combines passion, drama, and a clear understanding of scripture. Her exploration of the seven ancient words for praise, along with their practical applications, is both insightful and deeply inspiring. Yes, the word “protocol” might seem rigid, but the analogy she draws to meeting human dignitaries is so apt: if we adhere to protocol when meeting earthly leaders, why wouldn’t we do the same—or even more—for the King of Kings?
As someone who’s read the sequel, The Greater Connection, I can see how that follow-up builds on the foundation laid here. But this book remains a transformative guide for anyone seeking a deeper, more meaningful connection with God.
Final thought : I wish this could be adapted into a web series, podcast, or even a visual representation of the seven words of praise. It would be such a blessing to see these powerful concepts brought to life.
