Jasper has finally taken the step to be with his mate, leaving everything and everyone he knows behind. Starting over is hard, especially when you find out your Alpha mate is controlling and dominating—something Jasper isn't going to stand for. Zeus tries to cope with the fact that Jasper isn't as submissive as he wants him to be. Trying to model his relationship after what his parents had isn't working out so well. Can he give up his control in order to save his relationship? Toby Kramer is human, and he's running from a man who wants to see him dead after finding out Toby unknowingly slept with the guy's partner. He ends up in Pride Pack Valley, trying to start over when an obviously committed couple makes a play for him. Toby wants no part of that. Can Jasper teach Zeus to let go of his control while teaching Toby to trust that they aren't out to toy with him? Jasper has his hands full with his two men when trouble finds Toby and tries to take his little mate away from them.
Each book in Lynn Hagen's Zeus's Pack collection features a different romantic trio. Each title stands alone and can be read in any order. However, we recommend reading the series in sequential order.
Lynn Hagen loves writing about the somewhat flawed, but lovable. She also loves a hero who can see past all the rough edges to find the shining diamond of a beautiful heart.
You can find her on any given day curled up with her laptop and a cup of hot java, letting the next set of characters tell their story.
This book is so terrible it falls short on every front! Same stereotypes different names. The men act like 16 year old teenage drama queens and there is the typical stalker trope...again. If it's supposed to be humor i can't see it and if it's supposed to be serious, it's laughable! I usually don't critize this harsh, but this book is just too bad! Apparantly this book didn't see an editor! Gah I'm annoyed!
I am currently reading another series "Brac Pack" and Jasper was one of my favorite character's and I was happy that he found his mate and sad to see him leave the pack but I was glad that the author started another series. Jasper has known for months who is mate is but he didn't want to leave his home his bestfriend and lover Cody, but after Cody told him that Keata was his mate they agreed to continue to be friends and he left to be with his mate. Starting over his hard for Jasper his mate Zeus is the Alpha of the pack he is bossy controlling and wants his mate to be submissive and Jasper is not having it. Zeus quickly realizes that if he wants to keep his mate he has to change after they have sex and he claims Jasper Zeus is use to not saying anything while having sex and he tells Jasper to be quiet and it hurts is feelings. While out shopping with one of the soldier's they go into the deli to get a sandwich and Jasper realizes that he has another mate a human. Toby Kramer is running from a man who wants to see him dead after finding out he unknowingly slept with the guy's partner. He ends up in Pride Pack Valley trying to start over when Zeus and Jasper go into the deli Zeus realizes that Toby is his mate also and they both know that they have to be careful with him. Toby doesn't want to get involved with a couple although he is attracted to them. This was a good book too me the sex scenes were hot when Toby is attacked twice and even shot. I have a lot of the shifter stories by this author this book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking for forward to reading the next book in this series.
Okay here we go! This book if you can even call it that was just horriable. If I have to read one more story with some annoying, condescending, and self absorbed 'heroine' I will scream. For starters Jasper (our heroine) was just beyond belief annoying. Who comes into someone's house for the first time and starts complaining about how boring and how much you don't like it on the first day. Actually how about any day he had no hometraining and I'm assuming the writer was going for the 'say it like you mean it' type but Jasper just came off as stupid, immature, ridiculous, and thought way too much of himself. I felt so sorry for Zeus and spent the entire time mumbling "don't be an idot you wanker, send the fool back to where he came from".
I am so tired of reading one-sided relationships. One character deems their feelings and emotions more important so the other must cave and be and do what the other wants or they make their lives hell. Who goes into a temper tantrum worthy of my 3 year old niece because your upset someone gave you orders reguarding your personal saftey.
The sad part was I actually liked Zeus and some of the other charcters but I will not be continuing the series most likely. I can't possiably imagine how the writer can make this tragedy better.

I don't know why but I just didn't enjoy reading this book I felt that the plot of the book didn't need the vampire's added in and could have just been the other story line by its self and I just couldn't find myself caring about the characters which is rare for me. All in all I don't think I will be reading the rest of the series.
Guess I am really into self-torment. Started on the threesome spin-off series. This first volume played out pretty much as expected. Stereotypes, not enough time or space for any real character development or romance, a laugh or two. The sex actually put me off a little, what with the way it seemed to disconnect from emotions and the amount of painfulness involved between the initial two guys. I mean, dry? Really? Ugh.
Could have done without the ending setting up two of the three guys of the next book. I mean this was a really pointless setup. Could have just had that scene in the next book instead without breaking it up. It’s not like anything significant or interesting happened. It’s not even slightly cliffhanger-ish either.
Mind you, I will probably read on since despite everything this is fairly comfortable reading, even if it has its annoyances and lacks some real romance. I have to at least give the author a chance with the threesome theme, too. Maybe she improves… It’s been known to happen and if I recall correctly her high point in the original series did come after the spin-off point so there’s some hope.
2012 Re-read Project:
I went and did it. I re-read all the connected series by Lynn Hagen, this time in order of publication date, as recommended, which sadly does not ensure actual chronologicality. That’s twenty-nine books of moderate length, spanning three series (with more to spin off).
I’ll put my thoughts in spoiler tags since I plan to paste this into the end of each review covered here. There are no actual spoilers, so feel free to read this for a general idea of the series.
I liked this start to a new series. It was funny, hot, had some interesting secondary characters in it and explained a few background details from the sister series (The Brac Pack).
Jasper was cute, trying to stand up for himself while knowing full well he was falling for Zeus. After all, they knew they were mates, so 'resistance is futile', so to speak. The 'big bad alpha' Zeus learned pretty quickly to stop being a dominant idiot - thank God, he could have been pretty obnoxious if he hadn't. Adding Toby to the mix made for some interesting dynamics - both in and out of bed. His ex provided the needed threat to bring the threesome more closely together.
If you like shifter stories, hot m/m/m ménages and an entertaining, light read, you will probably like this book.
So-so, new to me author. Insta-love, check, stalker, check, immature mc, check. Lots of sex, although I started skimming because it was so-so - big Alpha shifter male tops shifter who lets human top him occasionally - and what's with calling said human 'Squirt'? Definitely not a reread as I had a hard enough time getting through it the first time.
And, what the hell was the point of the vampires?! Or was I paying so little attention by then that I missed it?
Cute book. Everything happened fast in this book. Fast to have problems, fast to resolve them, fast to have a complication, fast for the second mate to fall, etc. I enjoyed it but it's a typical Lynn Hagen, if you don't like the previous books you won't like this.
Genre: Alternative (M/M), Ménage a Trois/Quatre, Vampires/Werewolves
"Zeus's Pack 1: Jasper" by Lynn Hagen is a captivating addition to the Omegaverse world that I've come to love. Despite the mixed reviews on Goodreads, this story was a delightful read for me, fitting perfectly into the M/M genre and embracing the insta-love trope with fervor. As a fan of Lynn Hagen's Brac Pack series, I was thrilled to dive into this new adventure, especially since it ties into the broader universe with familiar connections between characters.
In this story, we follow Jasper, who makes the brave decision to be with his mate, Zeus, leaving behind everything he knows. The struggle and emotional journey Jasper undergoes are quintessential to the Omegaverse genre, highlighting the push-and-pull dynamics of dominant and submissive roles. Jasper’s resistance to Zeus's controlling nature adds a layer of depth to their relationship, showcasing the complexities of love and power in a way that is both gripping and heartfelt.
Zeus's character is a quintessential Alpha, struggling to reconcile his desire for control with the need to maintain a healthy, loving relationship. This conflict is a hallmark of the genre, and Hagen handles it with finesse, making Zeus a relatable and multidimensional character. The inclusion of a third mate, Toby, a human running from danger, introduces a fresh dynamic that spices up the storyline. The ménage à trois aspect of this book is scorching hot, with intense chemistry and emotional connections that are superbly crafted.
The plot intricately weaves themes of trust, power, and vulnerability, which are central to the Omegaverse and M/M genres. Jasper’s efforts to teach Zeus to relinquish control and Toby to trust them are both poignant and engaging. The way Hagen handles these relationships highlights her understanding of the genre, making the story a perfect fit for fans looking for intense romance and character development.
One of the standout aspects of this book is the way it integrates with the larger world of Pride Pack Valley. For those who have read the Brac Pack series, the connections between characters across the packs add an extra layer of enjoyment. It’s fascinating to see how Jasper’s story intertwines with the larger narrative, providing a sense of continuity and expansion to the universe Lynn Hagen has created.
The fact that Zeus’s pack allows for multiple mates adds a sizzling dimension to the story. The dynamics between Jasper, Zeus, and Toby are not only hot but also deeply emotional, creating a rich tapestry of relationships that kept me hooked from start to finish. The ménage à trois/quatre elements are handled with care and passion, making the romantic and intimate scenes both steamy and meaningful.
In summary, "Zeus's Pack 1: Jasper" is a superb M/M Omegaverse tale that delivers on all fronts. It’s an insta-love story with rich character dynamics, intense romantic entanglements, and a deep connection to the broader world Lynn Hagen has crafted. Despite what the Goodreads reviews might say, I found this book to be a gem, adding to my love for the series and leaving me eager for more. If you're a fan of the Omegaverse, M/M romance, and hot ménage à trois/quatre dynamics, this book is a must-read.
If you’re wondering whether or not you should read… THE ANSWER IS YES‼️‼️

This is the summary off the back of the book. Jasper has finally taken the step to be with his mate, leaving everything and everyone he knows behind. Starting over is hard, especially when you find out your Alpha mate is controlling and dominating-something Jasper isn't going to stand for.
This is what I think of the book. OK not fair, I didn't want to like this book because then I would have to buy them all so guess who will have a massive whole in her bank account, yes me. Not only was this book funny and thrilling as well as hot as hell it was a really good introduction to a new pack. I liked that this pack is a different kind of wolf so has a different skill set making the dynamic unique to this pack. I am looking forward to reading more about this pack.
Well, I delved into the Bracverse a 2nd time and now there are 121 books - yikes! I loved this Universe the first time I read it several years ago and now I love it more, I really do, but I've only been able to read these series (and I have expanded to all the books that are currently out in each): Brac Pack Christian's Coven Zeus's Pack Demon Warriors The Exiled
These are the series that start the Universe. Reading them in order is a must. Each book has it's own love story but there is an underlying story that plays out throughout them all. As you get towards the end of these series, other series come into play and I noticed that, since I did not read them, I missed some of the characters being mentioned (good and bad) but I was still able to follow because the main ones stay the same.
One day I WILL buy these and read them all!!! (For the correct order, just look on the Internet for Lynn Hagen Reading Order): Brac Village Shadow Tribe BPNG (Brac Pack Next Generation - Brac Pack kids) The Remus Brothers Wolves of Desire
I haven't read the Brac pack series yet, so I'm a bit out of the loop.
I didn't like how the mates called their human mate "squirt." I could see it happening once as a sort of joke, but not repeatedly. Calling your human mate squirt is not sexy. It brings to mind something you'd say to a child. And that's just...weird. I've read some reviews on the Brac pack series and it seems Lynn Hagan does this often -- making some mates seem child-like. I don't particularly like it. Not sure if I'll read the other books. I might give the next one a try. If it's more of the same, this series is not one I'll be reading.
Loved Jasper in Brac Pack and I really did hope for his HEA. NOT in a menage tho. His 2 centuries exclusively with Cody just seems more meaningful than the menage he ends up with. Cody was more than good enough for him solo right? Why not just Zeus? or Just Toby. Don't like menage's as I feel you will always love one more than the other and someone is bound to be short changed.
Bueno.
I didn't like a menage relationship which felt like a power pyramide. Alpha on the top (never bottomming etc), then the other shifter and finally human which gets to top too. It felt really structured. There are men who are only want to bottom, not interested in topping, but it shouldn't be because of having more alpha mate. Your mate should be able to satisfy all your needs if he is fated to you and all.
The drama was over the top. So many bad guys attacking, some even twice etc. It was very boring because of the lack of realism.
I did like that there was struggle in the relationship between Jasper and Zeus. It wasn't all smooth and easy. That's a big plus since it's very rare in the "easy read" books.
I also liked that a third mate was a surprise and come only after half or so book. It's too routine for menage books to dump both mates at the same time, a few pages apart.
typical lynn hagen serial romance. nothing fantastic, nothing so bad it can't be finished. what is typical lynn hagen? imagine a shorter harlequin romance but with no t&a (see, i was going to write no surprise pregnancies, but... yeah.).
out of sheer laziness, i will be using this as my template for all books by : lynn hagen stormy glenn scarlett hyacinth carol lynne gabrielle evans
unless otherwise noted. i'd apologize, but i'm not sorry. i figure it's about as much time as they put into their books. dammit! well, i made it all the way to the end being rather moderate in my assessment. that's a win.
I was so much looking forward to read about Jazz´s story. At first reading Brac Pack I hope him and Cody will find a way to be together. No, but I understand that mating your fated is the most important think in series. Still being together in spite of fate would be nice. Zeus became frequent character in Brac Pack so he grew on my somehow but adding Toby seemed too weird for me. Still not bad read.
