[Siren Everlasting Classic Erotic Alternative Fantasy Romance, demons, vampires, public exhibition] Taken from a life in the human realm, Dillon must adjust to being surrounded by demons. It's not hard when he has his sights set on one delicious looking warrior. From the moment he first laid eyes on the handsome Rainerio, Dillon knew what he wanted. Rainerio finds the human, Dillon, persistent, pesky, and unrelenting. He also finds him hot as hell. There's only one thing stopping him from taking Dillon up on his not-so-casual offer. He's seen the other mates used as pawns against the warriors, and that's something Rainerio's not willing to risk. Even if Dillon isn't his mate, he won't budge. When Dillon is used to test for a new drug that has emerged, Rainerio must fight to save him. But when the Black River overflows, indicating that the stolen crystal is being used, his problems of protecting the human have just multiplied, especially when he finds out Dillon is, in fact, his mate. ** A Siren Erotic Romance

typical lynn hagen serial romance. nothing fantastic, nothing so bad it can't be finished. what is typical lynn hagen? imagine a shorter harlequin romance but with no t&a (see, i was going to write no surprise pregnancies, but... yeah.).

out of sheer laziness, i will be using this as my template for all books by :
lynn hagen
stormy glenn
scarlett hyacinth
carol lynne
gabrielle evans

unless otherwise noted. i'd apologize, but i'm not sorry. i figure it's about as much time as they put into their books. dammit! well, i made it all the way to the end being rather moderate in my assessment. that's a win.

Well, I delved into the Bracverse a 2nd time and now there are 121 books - yikes! I loved this Universe the first time I read it several years ago and now I love it more, I really do, but I've only been able to read these series (and I have expanded to all the books that are currently out in each):
Brac Pack
Christian's Coven
Zeus's Pack
Demon Warriors
The Exiled

These are the series that start the Universe. Reading them in order is a must. Each book has it's own love story but there is an underlying story that plays out throughout them all. As you get towards the end of these series, other series come into play and I noticed that, since I did not read them, I missed some of the characters being mentioned (good and bad) but I was still able to follow because the main ones stay the same.

One day I WILL buy these and read them all!!! (For the correct order, just look on the Internet for Lynn Hagen Reading Order):
Brac Village
Shadow Tribe
BPNG (Brac Pack Next Generation - Brac Pack kids)
The Remus Brothers
Wolves of Desire

2011 Review:

This series is getting kinda depressing. I realize that the author is trying to build up to some epic dire battle, probably for the last volume or so, but so far it’s rather depressing that each book ends with more danger and oppressive tension unleashed. It kinda feels like the heroes are losing, not winning. Sure, couples get together and more or less survive and hot sex is had but each book leaves me with a growing sense of bleakness.
I dunno. Maybe it’s because the ending, the part that should be happy and lovey-dovey tends to be… Well, it’s still lovey-dovey but more like people cling to one another in despair, determined to make the best of things.

So yeah. Not getting a huge boost here.
I still want very much to read about Panahasi, but at this time I am not heartbroken that I’ve run out of volumes for now. Since it this time it doesn’t aggressively set up the next couple this certainly is a better point for a break than after either of the previous books, so that’s something to be grateful for. :3

Oh and the sex really is getting out of hand. I’ve read worse versions if this issue, much worse, but we do not really need so many of these scenes. A good number of them could have just been alluded to as well.
More and more I comprehend why books need to be stripped of scenes that are not relevant to the plot. I mean as much as I like to explore characters I like, these sort or scenes not only slow a story down but they can be downright annoying. Odd. But yeah, I am learning the truth of this more and more, by observation. When I first read about this need for streamlining and cutting I was sceptical. Eh, so good things yet again result from my experiences with badness. :D

2012 Re-read Project:

I went and did it. I re-read all the connected series by Lynn Hagen, this time in order of publication date, as recommended, which sadly does not ensure actual chronologicality. That’s twenty-nine books of moderate length, spanning three series (with more to spin off).

I’ll put my thoughts in spoiler tags since I plan to paste this into the end of each review covered here. There are no actual spoilers, so feel free to read this for a general idea of the series.

Dillon knows what he wants and Rainerio is the one Dillon has his eyes on. His persistence finally paid off but one unfortunate thing, turned Dillon's life upside down.

I liked Dillon's cocky, annoying attitude that just about drove Rainerio out of his mind. The little human wanted the big warrior and he wouldn't take no for an answer...so he was persistent. On the surface these two are definitely mismatched but didn't mean they weren't in reality a perfect mated pair. Rainerio just had to finally give in and take a chance. Here Ms. Hagen did a very nice job...it was her expression of both men's frustration that I found I really enjoyed. It also made me want to pop Rainerio up against the head for being dense, but when they finally get together...watch out. It's hot.

The ongoing plot line about the stolen crystal is continuing but in this one she's added another...a deadly drug Liquid Wrath. It's a new and interesting twist that I hope to see more of in the future.

I enjoyed this story which follows Rainerio and Dillion. It is a typical Lynn Hagen story. This one advances two other story lines, the stolen crystal and Liquid Wrath. Unlike some of the stories this ends in a bit of a cliffhanger;)

Bold and Sassy

Dillon knows what he wants and has the courage to go after it. What an enjoyable character. Rainerio is a warrior and stubborn to the max...watching these to collide will be fun. As they navigate alk the conflicts in Serenity City.
