Did my absolute best to read through this as someone new to working with flies. There is so much I did not understand and I will probably have to read through and reference this several times

Good book for students, researchers started working on Drosophila and intended to do some fly work. No doubt book is collection of good techniques and their usage but this book is not good for people don't have any knowledge about this system before. This is still a beginners book but just at another level. I will recommend to read some basic concepts and phenomenons from another books or articles [like (Roote and Prokop 2013)] before start reading this.
