Found this book in my old bedroom when I was cleaning out my closet and I forgot how adorable this book is. We got so many ideas for my birthday parties from this book when I was a kid, and I'm pretty sure they would all hold up today too.
The sock monkey heads are my personal favorite. Can also be adapted to make cow heads 👌
This book features activity, game, and snack ideas for different sleepover themes. There are some creative ideas here, but my favorite part was reading the misspelled notes from Jessica, the previous owner. So many dropped letters, switched letters, and wild guesses that aren't even phonetic! I was entertained, and I hope that Jessica had fun hosting her sleepover.
I'm beginning to think that American Girl is one of the best publishers for girls' books. We don't have any American Girl dolls' fans in the house and that doesn't detract from the book at all.
This book has plans for eight themes: Spa Night Scrapbook Bonanza Monkey Business Cocoa Loco Brrrr-day Party Board Silly Beadazzled Birthday Glitter Gala
It's a pretty handy book to have and it shows you a lot of party ideas. as much as i liked it, i think i could have looked online for party ideas but still it has great advice and is a great book to pick up and read at your local Barnes and nobles or borders.
I read this a couple times, the reason I got this book was because I LOVE to host slumber parties! Every time I host a slumber party I read this book. It is well written, and has a lot of good ideas!
