This was a fun summer read about a family who takes Route 100 to the mountains, but how the road itself takes an unsuspecting turn and heads for the beach itself for a vacation. Imaginative story with a fun chase and satisfying artwork. My rating - 3/5

I'm going to give this 4 stars for nostalgia purposes. I used to love this story. I wasn't as enthusiastic about it reading it today as I was when I was a kid.

We had this book when I was little and I recently began reading it to my young children. They love it and we've read it many times. When I was a young child, I loved the idea of a road getting a mind of its own and taking me someplace mysterious.
