The story was ok for a quickie. However, it contained one of my pet peeves: repetitive words or phrases:
Emerald green coloured eyes - I counted thirteen. Long blonde or beautiful blonde hair = 14
When I start counting, I've lost story focus. So while I liked the story - I got distracted. The Lady and the Lake excerpt at the end sounded interesting so I will definitely explore Mr. Sinclair in more depth.
Before The Dawn was a story that I always wanted to write. I love the idea of self-discovery and self-expression. This story is about a holy man that is brutally attacked and left for dead. He is saved by a kind hearted prostitute. He has always been told prostitutes are sinners and evil, but starts to learn that this sinner was the only person willing to help him in his hour of need. It is a beautiful love story with a really positive and uplifting message.
I liked the plot but found this to be boring. Some of the dialogue was campy which totally turned me off. I pretty much skimmed the sex because I'm not a huge fan of het sex, especially if the story can't lure me in.
