The illustrations are bold and crazy, and there's plenty of space left on each page -- together with suggestions for how to fill it -- so kids can add their own drawings. The books read as hilarious, zippy stories that look a lot like novels but are terrific doodle books as well.
The Romans and Dinosaurs live together in a huge glass dome called Romasauria. They race their rocket chariots and feast on moon-cow and chips until life on Mars is threatened by a giant asteroid spotted by Augustus Astronomus through his giant telescope. Will a wooden catapult and some Dinosaur poop save the day? The Romans and the Dinosaurs are going to have to work together or it's KAPOW for life on Mars.

Los libros de Mega Mix conformarán una colección de novelas breves gráficas, muy infantiles, con la originalidad de que los chicos deberán completar la historia. Romanos vs. Dinosaurios en Marte es una aventura totalmente disparatada, que no tiene pies ni cabeza, pero que sobre todo por eso, encantará a los pequeños lectores varones.
Los materiales a usarse son super accesibles: marcadores, crayones y lápices de colores. ¿A que nada más sencillo de encontrar? Con algunas muestras de técnicas que el niño puede usar (son fáciles, incluso para mí que soy una negada en esto del dibujo), y algunas indicaciones sobre qué tipo de dibujos puede hacer.
Por ejemplo, el niño podrá ponerles rostros a los personajes, idearse vestimentas u objetos divertidos. Esto reforzará su creatividad y le dará un lugar donde explayarse en ella. Podrá dibujar, pintar y rayar a gusto. Las páginas son gruesas, así que no habrá miedo de que el libro no resista al uso.
El texto es breve y hay solo un par de líneas por página, así que el chico podrá embarcarse en la aventura de leer sin ayuda. ¡No hay palabras difíciles, pero sí muchas risas!
Este es un libro para que el chico se divierta un buen rato, para que lo ayude a expresarse y a descubrir que ya no necesita la ayuda de sus padres tanto como creía. Lo invita a independizarse en el juego, a ser autoevaluativo con sus creaciones y a no tener miedo a equivocarse.
