A very wonderful and clear exposition of the Lord's Prayer. I highly recommend it both for its academic value and for its devotional value. Chemnitz wrote it is such a way that you could use the book devotionally, according to each thought of the prayer.

Used this as a basis for a Sunday Bible study on the Lord's Prayer. Chemnitz's insights were Scripturally rich displaying the depth of his understanding of Holy Scripture. I'd recommend it to anyone seeking a deeper understanding of the Lord's Prayer and further depth in their devotional life.

This short, edifying, and godly exposition of the Lord's Prayer, which is our rule for prayer, ought to be read and digested by any Christian desiring to improve their prayer life. It is especially valuable in directing us concerning "what things for which we ask, what evils we desire to be stopped or lessened, how we are to be thankful, and how we are to confess our unthankfulness and misuse" in regards to each petition.
