Facing potential death while working inside the Ground Zero pile in September 2001, Jonathan Wright experienced life-altering trauma. FIREHOUSE DOWN is a compelling journey of his life as a volunteer firefighter. Hailing from a long line of volunteer firefighters, Wright recalls happy moments growing up in the firehouse, as well as adverse times with other firefighters who share the same calling-to save others.
A little bit about life after Ground Zero; a lot about life before Ground Zero. Interesting perspective during Ground Zero, but unfortunately most of the book wasn't about that. I felt the title to be misleading.
