Tremaine is good for Natalie—well at least on paper—but Natalie has a secret. She craves women and it’s become a feeling she can’t resist.
Natalie meets Jaharie, a beautiful biracial woman, who wants a relationship with a man or a woman. Love is the only thing that matters to her. Natalie is thoroughly intrigued with Jaharie. She wants her, but being with a woman full-time isn’t what Natalie has in her plans and she knows her mother will never approve. She wants a husband, children—a ‘normal’ life—and is on track to acquiring this.
She plans to keep Jaharie a secret until she meets Tamala, a powerful, successful attorney and very attractive Lesbian who wants to take Natalie away from both Jaharie and Tremaine. Tamala has the savvy and financial power to woo Natalie right into her arms. Their relationship works for a while, until a past lover of Tamala’s vows to kill Natalie if she doesn’t stop seeing her. Natalie fears Tamala’s deranged lover but doesn’t leave until she learns a huge secret of hers.
Dilemma is a fast paced novel that will keep you intrigued and surprised.
K. Elliott aka The Well Fed Black Writer, published his first novel, Entangled, in 2003. Although he was offered multiple signing deals, Elliott decided he had what it took to self-publish. With that, he founded Urban Lifestyle Press, printed his own books and went to work. Bookstore by bookstore, street vendor by street vendor, Elliott took to the road selling his story. His work did not go unnoticed as he sold 50,000 units in his first year and made the Essence Magazine Bestsellers list. Since Entangled, Elliott has published five titles of his own and two on behalf of authors signed to Urban Lifestyle Press. For one book, The Ski Mask Way, Elliott was selected to co-author with hip-hop superstar 50 Cent. Along the way, he has continued to look for innovative ways to push his books to his fans while keeping down his overhead. Not wanting to keep the finding of such valuable experiences to himself, Elliott did two things. First, in 2010 he forged his vision of low-cost publishing by founding 21 Black Street, an eBookstore to mirror a traditional African-American themed book store - accept it could totally cuts out printing costs. Not stopping there, Elliott created the Well-Fed Black Writer, a blog for authors to find life-hacking tips for more efficient, effective self-publishing. Now through podcasts, video and blog posts, Elliott is able to reach anyone interested tips that lead to efficient, cost effective self-publishing success.
What can I say about this book (which should be properly titled as "Dilemma", btw)? Implausible and annoying characters. Gratuitous bed-hopping. Bad portrayal of GLBT lifestyles. I could take this story at face value and say it was meant as an "interesting" tale that flies by, but the plot wasn't up to snuff. It got me through a rainy Saturday, though.
Enjoyed reading this book! It keep u wanting to read more this book should have been called "Drama" becuz its alot of it one thing after another! A must read
I thought the novel was a great read. It was so great that I read the entire book in one night. I like authors that can keep my attention and keep their novels in suspense...it was never a dull moment in the book. I think everyone should read this novel. It was great!!!!
