This is one of those judge-a-book-by-its-cover kinda thing. I just got a Nook Tablet and I wanted to try it out, so I got some free books and this one sounded OK and it was short so it made sense at the time. First, let me start with the Nook. I gotta say I am not a fan of reading electronically. I like my physical book but that's a little off. Second, about the book: well, it was just boring and fast and straightforward. These can be good qualities sometimes but in this case it really didn't work. It was so just kinda flat and boring. I am not a writer and I think this would have come from my own hands, which isn't saying much about my writing abilities but like I said I am not a writer and I am actually pretty bad at it but now I know I am not alone.
Stella is about two life-long friends, both of whom have a hard time telling the other about their TRUE, romantic feelings. I gave it a ** instead of just * because I thought the little secret surprises and treasure hunt that the boy used to tell the girl his feelings were cute. But really, the book is quite boring, predictable, and flat.
The story of love being right under your nose but looking everywhere else for it.
Josh and Stella have been friends since 3rd grade, over 23 years. They go to the same church and became Christians together. They step in as each others dates when needed and talk about their failed dates.
Now if only they each could share the biggest secret, how each one feels about the other.
i loved this book i thought it was really good!!!!!!!!! it was a romance book about this girl and boy who have been bestfriends sence third grade!!!!! and now there all grown up there friends think that they like eachother because they went on a group date but they deny it because they go on eachothers dates allthe time for favors but they come to find out they want to be more then friends.
This was a disappointing read from Mirriam Smyth. I have read two other short stories by her that offered more substance. Again this is a nice storyline, but it is very rushed, therefore leaving the reader with a feeling that he/she just read a summary of a story instead of the full book. This book lacks details and contains many distracting errors throughout the fifty pages.
Another cute book by M.B. Forester-Smythe. I enjoy her style of love stories... this is one where two long time friends come to the conclusion about how much they care for their "best-friend" in reality. I recommend you read it.
I downloaded this bk because of all the 5 star reviews but was a little disappointed. The writing is good but the story isnt very creative. It was predictable, short and a little cheesy - that pretty much sums it up.
This was a quick read. Story was good but not on I would highly recommend. It is a sweet story that I read in about an hour. So it if you need a book for the doctors office, might be a pick for you.
Stella is a short story of two Christians who have secretly been in love for forever. Stella is a good short story to read when going to bed at night :)
A dull and overly predictable read by an author who proves her lacking knowledge of the difference between the words "accept" and "except" as well as "weigh" and "weight".
the book was ok..... i wasnt really found of it though. it was really short and there wasn't a lot of suspense and descriptive details. i didnt enjoy this book as i thought i was going to
I thought it was a good start to a story but it didn't have much of a storyline, and ended way to quick maybe if the author would have made it longer and full of details it would have been better
