Steve Bloom is a South African photographer and writer. Son of journalist, novelist, and political activist Harry Bloom, he is best known for his photography books and essays as well as his large scale outdoor exhibitions called Spirit of the Wild.

È um livro com poemas curtos e claros, falando sobre amor próprio, sobre ser mulher e relacionamentos. Alguns poemas são muitos tocantes outros nem tanto, mas vale a pena a leitura. Mesmo não sendo a pessoa do publico alvo, me peguei refletido sobre assuntos discutidos nele e as vezes achei palavras que estava precisando ouvir.

Steve Bloom shows his love of Elephants in this large book of his photography. Although the narrative is brief, I think it was meant to showcase his beautiful pictures of the African and Asian Elephants, and he did that very well. I was especially fond of his pictures of the elephants that appeared "chocolate-coated", an elephant swimming in the Andaman Islands and those in the Jaipur festival. The colors of the elephants in general are truly amazing.
