Succeed on Business Wisdom, Not Business Banks! Dan Kennedy has been called the "Professor of Harsh Reality" because he's provocative, irreverent, sarcastic, and tells it like it is in a humorous, but chillingly serious fashion that cuts to the core of the issues in a way no other business author does. You want sugar-coated cliches that go down easy? Seek them elsewhere - this book isn't for the faint heart. Kennedy steers you along the bumpy road to growing a business, showing you potholes along the way. Expose yourself to Dan's "25 Eternal Business Truths" and prepare for a lot of chin-rubbing insight. Get Dan Kennedy's take on your sales, cash flow, payroll, productivity, and on getting out of trouble wherever it arises. It's the kind of streetwise wisdom his readers (and high-paying consulting clients) swear by - all the way to the bank. Who is Dan Kennedy ? Dan's business adventures have included ownership of six businesses. He appeared for nine consecutive years on THE #1 seminar tour in America sharing the platform with former U.S. President Reagan, Ford, and Bush, General Colin Powell, and business leaders such as Debbi Fields.
Dan S. Kennedy is the provocative, truth-telling author of seven popular No B.S. books, thirteen business books total; a serial, successful, multi-millionaire entrepreneur; trusted marketing advisor, consultant and coach to hundreds of private entrepreneurial clients running businesses from $1-million to $1-billion in size; and he influences well over 1-million independent business owners annually through his newsletters, tele-coaching programs, local Chapters and Kennedy Study Groups meeting in over 100 cities, and a network of top niched consultants in nearly 150 different business and industry categories and professions.
As a speaker Dan has repeatedly appeared with four former U.S. Presidents; business celebrities like Donald Trump and Gene Simmons (KISS, Family Jewels on A&E); legendary entrepreneurs including Jim McCann (1-800-Flowers), Debbi Fields (Mrs. Fields Cookies), and Nido Qubein (Great Harvest Bread Co.); famous business speakers including Zig Ziglar, Brian Tracy, Jim Rohn, Tom Hopkins, and Tony Robbins and countless sports and Hollywood celebrities.
Dan has addressed audiences as large as 35,000....for more than ten consecutive years, he averaged speaking to more than 250,000 people per year. Corporate engagements have included American Honda, Floor Coverings International, IBM, Pitney-Bowes, Sun Securities. Today, Dan rarely accepts speaking engagements outside of Glazer-Kennedy Insider's Circle ™ events.
As a direct-response marketing consultant and copywriter, Dan is the 'hidden genius' behind full-page magazine ads you read, TV infomercials you see, online marketing and direct-mail you receive. He is routinely paid upwards from $50,000.00 to, on average, $100,000.00 to $200,000.00 plus royalties to craft direct-response ads, sales letters, direct-mail campaigns and integrated offline/online marketing systems for his private clients.... over 85% of which repeat. His advertisements created for clients have appeared in over 200 magazines from industry trade journals, airline magazines and The Wall Street Journal to USA Today and Readers Digest to Cosmopolitan.
He has created winning campaigns for health, diet and beauty products and companies, B2B and industry products including software, and investments including Canadian land sold to Asian investors — but his #1 specialty, where he does most of his work, is with clients in the information-marketing industry including book, home study course, online course and newsletter publishers; seminar, conference and event promoters; coaching organizations; and associations. Most new client relationships begin with an initial consulting day at his base fee of $16,800.00, conducted in one of his two home cities. There is usually a waiting list, and new client candidates are asked to communicate initially via a one to two page memo describing their business, needs and interests.
This is my first book 'book' I've read by Dan Kennedy...having read the immensely valuable 'ultimate sales letter' before by the same author
The mans insights are priceless with his Hugh portfolio of not only business experience but insightful life advice ... Great business book that really is NO B.S and tells it straight

My mark of basic value for a business book is "did I learn at least one thing?" I learned at least one thing from this book. I also got tired of hearing about Kennedy's clients, the overuse of whom made this tip over into a sales pitch.
The author lays out the real experience of success in business. You may not agree with his methods but he is honest and honesty is a secret to not losing your money. I'd recommend it to anyone considering starting a business - long before they've committed any money to it.
Another book by Dan Kennedy that exceeded my expectations. Results-based business and marketing advice mixed with his politically incorrect humour and real-life examples made it so informative and entertaining that my 17-year-old son let me read him the whole thing. This book, compared to the others in the NO BS Marketing series, focuses more on providing high-level insight into Kennedy's philosophy about business, rather than specific marketing strategies. But without such insights, I doubt most people will do the work to implement his direct marketing principles into their business.
Overall not bad, the basis of the information and assistance is good. If you are new to entrepreneurship this may not be the best book. The information is outdated at times and if you dont know that already you could easily spin down the wrong past. I really liked the chapter about employees. We dont have any yet, but it's on the horizon that we will likely need some part time help in the near future. I would definitely be interested in something more modern from Dan Kennedy.
