Yeahh, three stars, not because it was a good book, but because I was like ten when I read it and I didn't know what a good book was and I liked this one xD. Now I think it's pretty boring.

Eka biisi (Tähtikoulu #1)

Seitsemäsluokkalainen Chloe haaveilee pop-tähteydestä, mutta pikkuveli, vanhemmat ja ilkeät musamaikat pitävät hänet kaukana unelmasta. Kaikki muuttuu, kun arvostetussa Rockley Park-popmusiikkikoulussa aukeaa kaksi stipendipaikkaa. Chloe tekee kaikkensa päästäkseen hakemaan kyseiseen kouluun, jotta hän voisi tavoitella unelmaansa.

Vaaleanpunainen, naiivi ja höpsähtänyt tarina. Menee siis kuin häkä vitosluokkalaisiin.

Take a preteen Fame, add a dash of Glee, and also a pinch of just completely preteen drama and belief that, "Oh my gosh, this is the worst thing ever. I hate my parents and my life and everyone and I think I know everything because I am thirteen now, Mom!". That, in summary, is Reach for the Stars. At 19, I'm over that sort of thing. I was kind of already over it at 13. Not recommended!

Read this when I was younger, it was sooo cute. I wanted to be famous and I wanted to be a star. I even wished Fame School was a real school. Recommened to female children and young teens. This is also a series even though I only have the first one.

I wanted to read about kids playing music in my teens, and this was the only series I could find in my library, but I suppose it did its job.

I’m an adult. This was fun cheesy fluff, though the writing style was the kind of thing I wrote when I was in my teens, “so and so did this, so and so felt this”, not much in the way of a unique or interesting voice.

I can’t help comparing it to another Usborne series, Fantasy Fashion, which is aimed at the same age group (tween girls), but has a MUCH more interesting writing style. Would read Fantasy Fashion over Fame School any day.

But yeah. I’m probably still going to read the next book. Sometimes your brain just needs something easy and bland.

Miła i lekka pozycja. Poczucie że mogę się na chwilę przenieść do dzieciństwa i odczuwać podobne emocje jest cudowne. Mimo tego że czytałam to będą o wiele starsza nadal wzruszyła mnie w pewnych fragmentach.

Rereading them because I got almost the whole series second hand. It brings back a lot of memories, and even though it's not the greatest thing ever written, I still have to give it 4 ⭐ Polish translation is super good, it is very smooth and easy to fly through.

Pretty sure my Mom bought me this at a book fair? Maybe it was in a set? Definitely when I was in my “I WILL be the next Hannah Montana” phase…

I randomly remembered this book - it was my favorite when I was 10 and found it on Apple Books and decided to read it. Cute cheesy kids book and that’s exactly why it was my favorite when I was little
