Vampire Bites is a fun little anthology to sink your teeth into, consisting of three separate novellas featuring sexy vampires, rock stars and fantasies come to life.
In the first story, House of Immortal Pleasures, we meet Daphne who cannot seem to move forward after her break-up six months ago. When her friends get tired of seeing her mope around so long, they kidnap her and take her to a brothel run by vampires where your every sexual desire can be fulfilled. Unwilling at first she meets the seductive Connor who makes her forget her past heartbreak and opens her to more pleasure then she ever thought possible.
I loved Connor’s character in this story, his background was heartbreaking but he still has hope and honor and with it he teaches Daphne to love again. This made a heartwarming story with a beautiful end.
Karma & Melodies is a little darker of a tale but no less romantic with Kendra escaping her vampire master after ten years in his control to attend a concert of her first and only love. When Kendra is inadvertently injured though and almost drains Marcus as a result, she must bond him to her to save his life but doing so may have put him and his band mates at even greater risk. When Kendra’s evil and manipulative master comes searching for her he not on takes his anger out on her but on Marcus as well. Is the love they’ve shared from a distance for over a decade stronger than the vampires mind control he has over them?
This is a story of true love superseding the test of time. Dark with plenty of action and sexual tension, this plot interested me at the begging but as it started moving along the main characters lost their appeal for me and their relationship lacked realism.
In the final tale, Halloween Fantasies, Sasha attends a Halloween party as a vampire slayer only to meet up with the darkly charming Dante, a real vampire. Her secret fantasies come true when she takes him up to her room for a night to remember.
A captivating tale of sex and seduction, Halloween Fantasies was definitely the hottest story of the bunch and my favorite. I was immersed in the story and its characters, craving for more by the end.
Three unique stories with plenty of romance, Vampire Bites was a good, quick read and a great introduction to new-to-me author Katie Salidas.

My first reading experience with author

and let me tell you it was a delightfully wicked couple of hours with these three novellas!
House of Immortal Pleasures
Blindfolded, and kidnapped by her friends, Daphne is whisked away to the famed, House of Immortal Pleasures, a Vampire-run Brothel in Pahrump, Nevada.

Okay what does one say about a story set inside of a Vampire Whorehouse?
I was right up there with Daphne when she got upset with her friends for shuffling her off to get her groove on in a house of ill repute . I changed my tune just as quickly as Daphne once introduced to her evenings entertainment Connor who very smoothly erased her initial reservations and by the end of the evening had made her a very happy customer!
For anyone looking to read about a sensual and steamy sexual encounter with a hot male vamp and a beautiful human woman you need look no more, this one will leave you in need of cooling off and for sure have someone's significant other reaping the benefits of it being read!

After 10 long years Kendra has been reunited with Marcus but the reality of her being a vampire and him being a human soon rears it's ugly head when she almost drains him dry after he accidentally hits her with his vehicle! What a way to start a relationship right? Things go from bad to worse when she shares her vampire blood with Marcus and turns him into her blood slave, a side effect that Kendra had forgotten in her haste to keep him from dying.
The two are forced to stay together so that Marcus can perform with his band and finish out their tour... Along the way while traveling with the band her Maker/Master Hector catches up to Kendra and there is a point where she must make a stand or the band and Marcus will end up paying the ultimate price for her bid for freedom from Hector...
This is a great story within a story, the sexual tension between Marcus and Kendra is exquisitely painful at times as well as sweet at others... The extreme lengths that Kendra has to go through to make sure that she and all her friends survive were very well thought out by the author and executed flawlessly in a fashion that was very believable...

Especially since there is a surprise twist included in the acting out of one of his fantasies that leaves Sasha totally satisfied and yearning for a repeat in the near future!
Three very individual stories that will leave you titillated and turned on and hoping that there will be more to come from the author sooner than later! Out of all the supernatural creatures, I will always be a "vamp girl" at heart. There's something about these characters that get me hot under the collar and wishing in those naughty parts of my heart, to be caught and bit! I'm definitely a reader who can't get enough so when I was given a chance to read Katie Salidas' book, Vampire Bites, there was never any question!
What a book! Three stories.... three opportunities to swoon.... three opportunities to fly my kink flag and celebrate the excitement of a vampire bite. I'd never read anything by this author and I gotta say, she sure does know how to please a reader. The men were swoony and I desperately wished I was the heroines in the story. Gosh, did I wish it!
So how will I do this review? All three stories were so good. I LOVED the first one with Daphne and Connor. I could imagine myself as embarrassed as Daphne after her friends kidnap her and take her to The House of Immortal Pleasures, where on the menu are ALL kinds of delicious play. She gets taken to Connor, a vampire paying for a mistake he made ten years earlier and who is on the verge of having his freedom given him. Imagining Connor in jeans, bare chest and a collar? PRICELESS.
The second story was definitely one that touched my heart. To be whisked away from a life to become a vampire, to be separated from the man you were drawn to... I was so happy for Kendra when she met up with Marcus again. What a way to be reunited though. I spent the entire story hoping that all would work out, that Kendra would get to keep Marcus and the danger of having her controlling master come for her. Left me with a sigh and smile.
The third story was BY FAR my favorite and it was the story I related to the characters the most! As shy as I am, I would LOVE to go to a Fantasy and Fetish Ball and this is where Sasha finds herself at the hottest party of the year. It doesn't take long before she catches the eye of the HOTTEST vampire in the room, Dante and he was tingle inducing. I could imagine him standing there, all in black, trying to pick out "prey". He was completely taken with Sasha and I loved the flirting between them both. Dante was THE perfect name for a vampire as well and he let me wave my kink flag when he went a little Dom on Sasha. Add in the delicious surprise part way through and I was in HEAVEN! Getting sweet lovin' from one vampire is HOT. Throw in a second vampire and the bed sheets caught on fire! Oh yeah... LOVED IT!
This is the perfect read for those who love their men sexy and fanged and appreciate a variety. I'd recommend it to romance lovers, paranormal lovers and those who like a little kink in their erotica. It gives it all in a nice smorgasbord where all you need do is choose. Happy reading!

This book consists of 3 short novellas,House of Immortal Pleasures,Karma & Melodies and Halloween Fantasies. First up is:
House of Immortal Pleasures was a really quick hot read, Sometimes novellas for me seem rushed but I didn't feel this way with this first story. I really liked Daphne and I could definitely relate with being done with men at least for the while that is until her friends wisk her off to this vampire brothel. Conner the vampire she is introduced to help her, I could relate to as well, He is a 'sex' slave as his punishment for killing a human.
I loved this story, for several different reasons, the characters were well written, the back-story was quick but didn't leave you confused,the hot scenes were hot but sweet one thing. And finally the story was tied up all neatly with a Happily Ever After. Only thing I can think of is I would love to read more of Conner and Daphne. This book was a great start to the three novellas in this book.

This is the second story in this book and I have to say it grabbed my attention almost right away. It combines both loves of mine vampires and rock music. This time around the Vampire is a newly turned only about 10 yrs old and escapes her evil master to find the man she had a crush on before she was turned.
I really enjoyed this story as well it was a bit different, teases of hotness set the pace for this one, it was more about how Kendra though she really wanted to be with Marcus she was afraid to be. One thing about this one there that I felt Katie did really well with I really didn't like a couple characters in this book one being the evil master, Hector and two being Mike who just didn't want to give Kendra a chance no matter what she had said. I credit Katie for wonderful writing for me to feel so angry towards these characters.

Holy hotness! Is pretty much how I can summarize this steamy story. Angela and Sasha go to the hottest Halloween Party of the year hoping to find the man of their dreams or fantasies as it may be. I will say this is my favorite out of the three, though I loved them all this one had me sticking my head in front of the A/C to cool off.
Sasha is my type of girl a bit unsure of herself but on the inside longing for the dark and dangerous which she finds with Dante and let me say Dante is my type of Vampire as well put these two together and you have a hot fantasy filled adventure.
Overall this book was a fun, hot steamy read and I read it all in one day, only bad thing it ended it too soon. I definitely say this is a must read for Vampire lovers looking for a quick hot read. I haven't had a chance to read Katie's books til now and let me say she has a new fan in me.

Romancing the Dark Side Review:
A scandalous anthology of unbridled lust and vampires!
In House of Immortal Pleasures, we meet Daphne who hasn't had much luck with men and is whisked away by her friends for some overdue fun. They take her to a local vampire brothel and persuade her to forget about the past and enjoy the moment. Daphne is hesitant but finally gives in and is introduced to Connor, her entertainment for the evening. Connor is very understanding and doesn't rush her into anything and Daphne soon finds herself falling for the charms of this sexy and romantic vampire. This a great steamy and unexpected romance that will warm your heart!
Karma & Melodies is much more romantic. Kendra is a young vampire who is on the run from her maker and has fallen in love with a human musician. After ten long years, Kendra is reunited with her long lost love, Marcus, when she accidentally attacks him and almost drains him! To save him Kendra shares her blood with Marcus and must then stick by him and his band members until he completes his music tour. During this time, Kendra learns Marcus has true feelings for her but things get a little complicated. Kendra's maker, Hector, eventually tracks her down and threatens to put an end to her new found happiness with Marcus. Great sexual tension between the hero and heroine and plenty of action to keep you glued to the pages!
Halloween Fantasies is the final story in the anthology, the hottest and also my favorite! In this novella, Sasha and her friend head out to a Halloween Ball to meet some hotties and let loose. Sasha's wishes come true when she meets a dark and mysterious vampire named Dante (ironically she's dressed as a vampire hunter!). Drawn to his suave moves and irresistible charms, Sasha decides to make the best of her night and indulge in her fantasies. A surprise twist spices things up even more and ends in a night Sasha will never forget. This erotic tale of seduction will leave you wanting more!
Vampire Bites is a compilation of three very original stories that will leave you breathless. Great characters, fast paced action and plenty of romance to keep the reader engaged. A recommended read for vampire and smut lovers everywhere!

Vampire Bites is a collection of 3 short stories. The first - “House of Immortal Pleasures” is about Daphne, whose friends drag her to a vampire brothel for a night of debauchery. Daphne has been burned by love before and is hesitant to let any man touch her. However, she meets Connor, who is serving a sentence at the house and is forced to stay there and service customers. Connor is good at what he does, and the proprietor sets up Daphne with Connor, knowing he can take her friends for all their money.
Daphne does not immediately jump into bed with Connor, and I enjoyed watching him seduce her. He sees something special in Daphne and makes her feel like a beautiful, cherished woman. And isn’t that every woman’s fantasy?
For a short story, we get to know Daphne fairly well. I could relate to her, and I was on her side. We don’t get to know the other characters much, but the only really important one is Connor. We do get to learn a little of his past, but again, it’s a short story.
The sex was delicious. There was plenty of it and the descriptions were vivid. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I enjoyed this story a lot. I really like stories involving rock bands, and this one didn’t disappoint. I admired Kendra’s strength and loved her for it. There was no sex, but this story was packed with emotion, and I think that served me just as well.
“Halloween Fantasies”
Who wouldn’t love one night to indulge in their darkest fantasies? That’s what Sasha gets to do in this story. It was delicious and fantasy-filled. Hot vampires, sexy bedroom scenes, this one had it all. You don’t get to delve much into the characters, but you don’t need to. It’s a night of fulfilling fantasies. This story hit the spot.
Overall, a fun, quick read that I enjoyed. Hot vampires, spicy sex, delicious romance. Nice way to start out my vacation. :) 3 out of 5. Heat factor was at times 4 out of 5, yet there was hardly any in the second story. Just hints and innuendos.

Vampire Bites is a novella consisting of 3 short, hot vampire stories.
House of Immortal Pleasures was my favorite of the three. Not only was this story steamy, it was sweet too. Daphne is a woman who has been cheated on, and it has completely broken her. After months of being alone, Daphne's friends decide she needs to get out of the house, have some fun, and be with a man. She's not happy at all when her friends take her to a vampire brothel – she's not that kind of girl. Turns out that Connor isn't in his profession of choice. He doesn't like what he does, but he is forced into it. Daphne is the first woman that Connor really feels attracted to since he was turned into a vampire and forced into this job. He was really sweet with Daphne, and it was more than just sex. I felt like I could relate to Daphne, I really liked her character.
The second story was called Karma & Melodies. Kendra has been a vampire for 10 years now. Before she was turned, she had her sight set on Marcus – a musician who sang at the coffee house she hung out at. In this story, they are reunited but it's a life and death situation. Kendra must save Marcus' life, but because of that he isn't himself. I almost felt like he wasn't in charge of himself throughout this whole story, so I didn't feel like any of the feeling were real. It's hard to explain without giving things away, but because of this I didn't really connect with this story as much. Also, there surprisingly wasn't any sex in this story.
Last but not least, is Halloween Fantasies. This was a fun, quick read. Sasha attends the annual Halloween Fantasy Ball dressed as a vampire huntress. Ironically, the man she runs into at the party is a vampire – a real vampire. This is an erotic story – not really any romance involved. Actually, it was a bit on the kinky side. Sasha is pretty outgoing, and is up for pretty much anything.
These 3 stories all had a vampire connection, but they were all really different from each other. I'd recommend this to adult paranormal lovers, who don't shy away from vivid sex scenes.

Vampire Bites is an anthology by author Katie Salidas. This anthology features 3 short Vampire Romance stories. These stories all take place in the same world, where vampires are public, erotic, and have mind-influencing capabilities. In this anthology, the stories are well-written, entertaining, and very hot! The three stories are House of Immortal Pleasures, Karma & Melodies, and Halloween Fantasies.
House of Immortal Pleasures: This story is about a lonely, heart-broken girl (Daphne) who has been dragged to a vampire brothel. Daphne’s friends want her to break out of her lonely shell and experience the pleasures of life. This story was very sexy, and the story was different and exciting to read. The main man in this short story is Connor, and he is a vampire trapped by circumstances. He and Daphne have amazing chemistry, and I really loved their story.

Vampire Bites is a fun anthology of three yummy, and more than a little erotic, vampire tales from author Katie Salidas. All have strong sexual situations, fully consensual, and are intended for mature audiences.
In House of Immortal Pleasures, Daphne's friends take matters into their own hands and decide to get her past the hump of moving on after a bad relationship. Their answer to the problem? A trip to a local brothel staffed by vampires. I didn't particularly like how aggressive her friends were in pushing her into a sexual situation she wasn't ready for, but the vampire involved was decidely yummy! Kinder and sweeter and more sincere than anything she had known in her previous relationship, she quickly fell for him, and, unexpectedly, he for her. The ending was a little abrupt for me, but romantic in it's own way.
I think Karma & Melodies was my favorite of the three, by far the most romantic. Kendra is a sweet girl, caught in the middle of a life she had never imagined. She has finally escaped the brutal life she has been living and finds the man she had loved as a human. Things come to an unexpected end, but it ends in a happy way. I would love this story as a lead in to more, because both Daphne and Marcus were really engaging characters.

This is an anthology of three novella-length stories, which are hot vampire romance stories. Vampires are public knowledge, they have mind controlling powers and they are all based in the same world. I loved all the stories, the had some pretty hot vampires, a little more erotic than my normal taste in books but these were entertaining and a fun read.
House of Immortal Pleasures:- Daphne is taken to a vampire brothel, her friends want to snap her out of her lonely existence and experience some fun and pleasure. She meets Connor, there is instant chemistry and he is a vampire. Lots of erotica, chemistry and excitement in this story.
Karma and Melodies:- Kendra is a vampire whom gets into trouble when running from her sire and ends up traveling with a band. This is a great story so sweet and funny. A light and fun read.
Halloween Fantasies:- Sasha dresses up as a vampire hunter and finds a vampire at a Halloween party. This 3 book collection of novellas are quick reads and full of steam.
I will only be providing a detailed review of House of Immortal Pleasures - not because the other two stories are horrible but HoIP is my favorite novella in the Vampire Bites collection.
Daphne's friends mean well - I mean, 6 months after finding your boyfriend in the throes of passion with someone else is enough time to wallow. To help get Daphne out of her funk, Jamie and Kerrie take her to the nearby brothel owned, operated, and employer of vampires. Daphne doesn't want anything to do with paying for a good time but once under the spell of the owner, Daphne finds her in a very dark room and she just knows she's not alone. What she wasn't expecting was have a connection with the sexy vampire in the corner of the room.
Connor is a prisoner to The House of Immortal Pleasures. He was sentenced there for 10 years by the council after accidentally killing a human. Today is his very last day of servitude. What better way to spend it with the beautiful and shy woman that appears in his room! Once he charms her into his bed he knows there's no way he's letting her go.
I'm a huge fan of Katie's books. Her writing is fluid, the characters are well-developed, and is a master world builder. Even though House of Immortal Pleasures is a shorter story, she spares no detail in the creation of Daphne, her friends, Connor, and the den of iniquity. The story is hot and sexy and will have you pulling for Connor's freedom.

On the run she seeks out Marcus, the lead singer of Normal Paradox, who she has carried a torch for. Unbeknownst to her, he has loved her also. My thoughts about the three stories in general:
I enjoyed the characters. In each story the characters have deep, meaningful relationships with each other in some way and look out for one another. I found the author's ability to create strong characters to be the fuel for each story. What I found most impressive was that each story was unique and contained a well developed story line ~ the reader isn't left with the feeling that something was missing. The only downside is that you are left wanting more....more stories, more information about the characters... They are so well done that you really aren't ready to move on when the story ends.

I liked these. I had read the first one right when it came out, and it was even better the second time around. I enjoyed the other two as well.
The second story was probably the most suspenseful of the three with the least amount of sex involved. But it was still good. It was full of some pretty heavy vampire cliches but it all worked out in the end.
The third was the slowest for me to get through, honestly. While I liked it, this one is what brought the whole book down a star. It seemed like a bit of a let down after reading the first two. Not by much, but I was expecting something a little more than fantasy play.
Katie is a good writer. I've enjoyed her full length novels and she's really good with a short story. Definitely worth a read.
