Such a sweet story with a little parent humor (not inappropriate). I enjoyed the colorful, animated illustrations. Good word choice.

A dad shows all of his children that he loves them when they give him very different Father's Day presents. The youngest bear wonders what to get his father and when all of his siblings say they have the perfect gift, the little bear decides to draw his dad a family picture which is well received.

The illustrations are a combination of paint and pastels in pastel colors. The father is shown as a smiling, happy bear.

This was a really cute book to read right before Father's Day. Each of the bear children think they know the perfect gift for their father because they give him the same thing every year and every year he says the gift is wonderful and he can always use another one. But one of the bears (Harvey)doesn't have a clue what his father would want. It showed all the things Father Bear did for his cubs, even on Father's Day.

I would use this book to start a lesson on father's day. The children could talk about the special ways they celebrate father's day with their dad. I would also use this book to talk about manners. The father bear always says "thank-you" to his gifts and the children always answer "your welcome".
