They were built as unstoppable warriors. They became unstoppable monsters.

Four decorated U.S. Marines with spotless service records are wanted for the brutal rapes and murders of over a dozen women within four months. Their hunting grounds stretch from New York to Georgia. When Ryan Pearson and his team of FBI agents close in on the first killer, the cornered Marine nearly defeats three heavily armed assault teams with nothing but unbridled violence and grossly deformed hands.

After the bloody encounter that left another woman and two agents dead, Ryan begins to question the directives of the military liaison and his own boss, the Deputy Director of the Bureau. The answer he discovers during his unsanctioned investigation blurs the normally focused line between victim and criminal.

Ryan enlists the help of a civilian scientist that can link the sociopathic behavior of the four fugitive Marines to a biomedical research facility where they were stationed prior to the murders. When the scientist Ryan befriends is attacked in a military style ambush, he forces himself to remember every detail of the violence. He wants to remember so he knows exactly what to give back to the ones responsible.

Super soldier formula at work again. Or Super Marines that is. I have had Abomination on my Kindle for years and just now got around to reading it. A little bit horror, some sci-fi, and throw in a police/FBI thriller. The characters were flushed out and the story moved along at a good pace. For once I actually wanted the book to be a tad longer. FBI vs the mutant marines could have been drawn out a bit more. But still, I will look for a mew other EE Borton thrillers.

Although this is a suspense novel, it is not the type I usually go for. But it was a kindle freebie with all five star reviews, so I thought - what the heck. I'm so glad I downloaded it! This was one of the most original story lines I have read in a long while. Four decorated U.S. Marines with spotless service records volunteer for a top secret project with the goal of creating the ultimate warrior. But something has gone amiss and they are now wanted for the brutal rapes and murders of over a dozen women. The pursuit of the now monstrous marines by the FBI team assigned to the case is a thrill ride filled with unimaginable twists and turns.

This book takes off from the first page and keeps you interested right to the last. I liked the premise but was slightly disappointed with the cause of the marines illness. Short, quick page turner, and a good read otherwise.

Frightening in its plausibility--the desire by the powers that be to craft the ultimate warrior combined with the all-too human tendency to fail to fully realize all the possible ramifications of our actions. Just because we can manipulate DNA doesn't mean we should....

Let me start by saying that if you check my goodreads page, you'll see i've got over 170 books waiting to be read. I'm not a patient reader. When I got this novel as a free promotion on Amazon, i was sure it could be an easy delete, just try it and dismiss it in the same day. The damn thing abducted me for 3 days. I could not stop reading, let alone delete it, it's a keeper. I hope other Agent Pearson stories are in the works. Suspenseful and action packed.

This book grabs your attention with the first couple of sentences and keeps it through out the entire book. I couldn't put it down. You won't be disappointed in this investment. It's great enough that you will want to read it again and again.

Abomination is anything but. It's a tight, gripping, edge-of-the-seat nonstop super-adventure, made especially effective by the endlessly entertaining language and phrasing styles of its surprisingly well developed characters. It's a remarkably impressive fictional outing by E.E. Borton.

I'm not usually one for reading Suspense/Thrillers, because I'm a bit of a sissy. But once I started reading "Abomination," I couldn't put it down! You'll love this book....unless you live by yourself:) The first chapter is an eye-opener for all those who put their every move on FB. Get this book!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I know this book is the author's first, and that he has a second one currently in the works. I can't wait to see what he does next.

Flows beautifully, yet unpredictably. Great character development as well. looking forward to further books from this author. Who knows, even this could become a serial.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review

This is a story written with two popular themes: super soldiers and vampires. The writer comes at it from a totally different angle and the story is filled with action, drama, suspense, and a little psychological manipulation. The characters are well written within the complicity of the story and their actions only enhances the story. There were several twists and turns within the story that we'll keep the reader entertained and involved. This is a well written story that a reader will surely enjoy

E.E. Borton is an author to keep a close eye on. Abomination is his first book, and he's starting out strong. If it weren't for the grammatical & punctuation errors that drove.me.completely.insane. this book would have been 4 stars. The writing style is awkward at times, and though I know where his intentions are when he tries to put some humor in the story, it just doesn't feel right the way he goes about it. All of that smoothes out in his second and third books, so if the story, or writing style was off-putting for you, read Without and/or Suffer before you give up on him, you won't be disappointed!

I really enjoyed Abomination. This is the third E E Borton book I've read in the last few months and I think this one might just be the best. The writing was good, the plot had lots of twists and turns and it had me reading in the middle of the night when I should have been sleeping. The ending was much better than Without so top points for that. I'm looking forward to another book by this author.

No point in mentioning what I thought were faults in this fantasy. From the author's comments to other reviews he seems to be aware of the debut problems.
The writing flows well enough and the mechanics of plot, characterisation, etc. can be fixed. I won't turn his next offering aside on the weaknesses of this one. Unless there are more undercover vampires!!

Page turner

Page turner

This book is not one I would normally pick up and read but as soon as I started I couldn't put it down. THE author has put together a great book that combines murder, thriller and a little super natural. The plot never got cold and the characters were great. Highly recommend this book.

Follows the tried and tested formula - US government to make supersoldiers - supersoldiers run amok - lawman (ex-military) stops them. If this floats your boat read it
