In Born Again , objective evidence of reincarnation is presented that demonstrates that, from lifetime to lifetime, facial features, talents, and personality traits remain consistent. Independently researched cases include those studied by Ian Stevenson, MD, at the University of Virginia, as well as the cases of Police Captain Robert Snow, Fire Chief Jeff Keene, neurosurgeon Norm Shealy and U.S. Diplomat Wayne Peterson.
This book is definitely not for everyone. You really have to read it with an open heart and mind. Reincarnation and life after death are surely not easy topics to discuss but I feel Dr. Semkiw did a good job writing & researching this book. What I like about his narrative is the healthy dose of high skepticism when he first brushed with this world of hocus pocus.
However, he did a marvelous research with helps from re-known clairvoyant as well as their guardian spirits. He compared data, historical facts, pictures and claims from people all around the world who remember their past life clearly. What I found quite intriguing, is when he compared faces of somebody in current life and his/her past life, you can really see the similarity. I'm also interested in his reincarnation study of famous public figures such as Anne Frank, Barack Obama, Oprah Winfrey, J.K. Rowling, George Washington and even Soekarno.
His conclusion was astounding. Apparently when you are reincarnating, you could be reborn in just any place, any ethnicity, any culture. You will also bring talent or ability you learned in your previous lives (such as linguistic or artistic skill). There is also a good fat chance that you will be reborn together with your current family and friends (group reincarnation). Your physical appearance will variably change from time to time (weight, facial features, height, etc) but there will be a similarity in face structure. It all, of course, depend on your karma. You do good, you reap good things in your next life and vice versa.
You can smirk if you want but I find this comprehensive study are a solid prove that faith, religion and science can truly go hand-in-hand. In his reasoning of why reincarnation should be known and learned, he argued that when people understand that everybody can be just anybody in past or next life; that you can be born as Jew in this life or Palestinian in your next life; world will be a better place to live. I'm totally with Dr.Semkiw in that matter.
Born Again Publishers Rifana Books ISBN 81-85250-37-5 Author Walter Semkiw MD The book talks of reincarnation, along the lines of Brian Weiss, Many masters and many lives. The author has tried to find and justify past lives of various celebrities and authenticates it with approval from Ahthun Re apparently an Egyptian authenticator of spirits. There are claims, and he justifies the claims using photographs of past life and claims they match. The author claims that some souls live two lives simultaneously like Benezir Bhutto who is supposed to be re-incarnation of Nehru, and Shahrukh Khan being the reincarnation of some by gone actress Sadhona Bose. the book looks like it is written to cater to the local train avoid conversation with others reader.
This book definitely made me think. Even if you're not a believer in reincarnation, I think it's important to expose yourself to new ideas. If you're interested in thought provoking books, try the books by Dr. Semkiw.
Never read or even thought about kinda stuff. Today i went through, from no where. Idea is captivating and interesting. I gave 3 stars for authors' passion for idea of resurrection. Author has penned down the journey of spirits taking forms through humans. There is shown compatibility of politicians mainly from across the globe with time.
Liked reading Abdul Kalam Azad with Tipu Suptan and Bahadur Shah Zafar/Nehru/Benazir Bhutto the most.
