Presents interviews with mercenaries, describes the use of mercenaries during the past twenty-five years, and explains why individuals become soldiers of fortune
An engrossing look at some of the more famous mercenary operations that took place from the 1950s to the 1980s. Don't let the title fool you, however. It is much more of a historical account than it is a debate on the morality of the mercenary. As a result, it is fascinating reading. Highly recommended for anyone interested in the heyday of the modern mercenary.
A very thorough study of modern mercenary operations from The Congo in the 1960's, up to the 1980's. Not very richly detailed about the ops, but a good overview, and the best I've read so far.
