Rusho and Crampton did an excellent job. They provided a very balanced factural account of the geographic history and events. The book is nicely documented and demonstrates strong bibilographic references. It is fastinating to think of my family passing south over the Colorado at Lee's ferry in the 1880's. KGA
This was a very informative book. My parents took me to Lake Powell in 1970 and it was an amazing boating experience. Now that I’m so much older I so appreciate reading the history of this spectacular area.
This one took a long time, but not due to the writing or subject matter. I started it after our big trip out west and then one thing led to another, lost it on the book shelf for a while and then finally finished. What a fascinating story and history of the area. We were about an 1 1/2 car ride away from it, but just couldn't fit it in our schedule. I so want to go back. Author did a fantastic job weaving the story in with pictures and time line of events.
