خاطرات یک زندانی بریتانیا در آلمان طی جنگ جهانی اول و ماجرای فرارش از اسارت که سیزده روز طول کشید.
داستان جذابیت خاصی نداره، چون نویسنده هم خود همین اسیر بریتانیایی بوده که خاطراتش رو نوشته، کار هنری هم به حساب نمیاد.
ولی کتاب روانی بود و راحت خونده شد. کمابیش هیجانی هم داشت، ولی نه چندان.
از اون کتاب‌هایی بود که وقتی نمیخوای ذهنت درگیر بشه، بخونی و تموم کنی و بعد هم فراموش کنی.

A first-person account of a British Officer during WWI who was able to escape from a German prison. I found this account to be fascinating, especially the techniques the Officer used to evade capture. It is a short document and adds insight into how prisoners-of-war were treated and kept during one of the world's worst wars. I would recommend this account to war buffs, history enthusiasts, or anyone looking for an engaging short read.

A quick and easy read. Just not a particularly interesting one, to me. The author's rhetoric, while understandable, gets a bit tiresome in places.
