ROSALIND NOONAN grew up in suburban Maryland and enjoyed being part of a large family. "With my four siblings, Saturday mornings were a blast," she says. "There was festival seating on the living room floor as we devoured cartoons and passed the Sugar Pops."

She caught the writing bug in second grade when she won first place in a poetry contest. "The prize was twenty dollars," she recalls. "That was big bucks for a second grader. I thought I was going to Disneyland." Wooed by the taste of fame and fortune, she kept writing.

After attending Wagner College in Staten Island, she remained in New York City where she worked as an editor for various book publishers. Noonan currently lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband, a retired cop from the NYPD, and two children. Although she sometimes misses the rapid pulse of New York, she enjoys writing in the shade of towering two-hundred year old Douglas fir trees.

The Turning Seventeen series follows 4 best friends Kerri, Jessica, Maya, and Erin as they deal with all the fun, adventures, difficulties, and dramas of their senior year.
Book 5 is from Kerri's perspective just like Book 1. She found out she got early acceptance into her dream college in book 4, and is so set on going that she doesn't fill out any other applications. Now, she just has to figure out how to pay for it! Meanwhile, Kerri is still wrestling with the difficulties of her relationship with her father who left years ago. Does she want a relationship with him, Can she even trust him. Furthermore, as she tries to plan for the future in order to keep her and her boyfriend Matt together, could it be possible that they are actually being pushed farther apart?

Once again, another cute and easy ready from the series. If you are looking for a cute, stereotypically girly love/drama series with books to keep you busy for a quick read, this is a pretty good one! I have to admit, that although I loved Kerri book 1, she definitely started getting on my nerves this book. Her problems just seemed shallow and uninteresting. Then again, she is a 17 year old naive character. I'm still rooting for her and Matt, but kind of hope she gives up on the Miami thing to find a more reasonable school and be closer to him.
