Catherine Hart is one of today's most popular romance authors and has earned many prestigious writing awards since she started her craft. After a plane crash on a deserted island only 12 people even leave the plane but how many will leave the island? Between injuries from the crash, island perils, and threats from other survivors there is a lot for them to overcome. The story just sucked me right in from the start and kept my attention the whole time. Lots of humor throughout the book as well. I will be reading more Catherine Hart in the future! :)

I have read this book 5 or 6 times since I first bought it. It has been on my keeper shelf. I think I might be done with it this time since I am now nitpicking more than rereading. I'm not sure why this book struck a chord with me and needed to be kept and reread--I can never really explain that.

Welp....

...a lot of books don't age well.

I felt like this book had some racist, sexist and homophobic undertones. I get that it was a different world 20 years ago (when the book was published), and I don't consider myself particularly "sensitive" but really, this book made me uncomfortable.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I was pleasantly surprised by this story. It's an old one written back in 1997 but it was very good. Very funny at times with some great lines especially by Kelly who did a lot of talking back. It was a good story which followed a group of strangers who get stranded on an island. This island ends up being a pretty decent one which certainly helps. But it's the characters who make the story and in particular Kelly and Zach. There are a lot of similarities with Lost although without the strangeness. This is certainly a story that is good enough to span the decades - well worth a read.

This book was a lot of fun to read. I picked it up from a thrift shop in Vinton County that had a room full of older mass market paperback books. It kept me entertained during vacation. Though I had to finish it at home.

I liked the book until the end. It just got too syrupy sweet and felt like the author was in a rush to finish it.

A plane crash onto one of the hundreds of remote Polynesian islands leaves 12 people fighting to survive. Though sold as a romance novel (which it is) this book is about more than sex, love, and finding true love. How do we survive catastrophic events? What happens (initially) when rescued? The book loses a star for some rather improbable situations.

Enjoyed this book - what is not to like about being isolated on an island with a great guy... of course it was a rough way to land on that island and there is a bad guy lurking around causing trouble. I loved the characters and had to keep turning the pages to find out what was happening next. A great summer read.
