This is by far my favorite of the My Little Pony books I have read so far. It seemed much more flowy and natural-sounding than the others have. I wasn’t expecting this. Most of the books that are adapted straight from kid’s movies seem cheap and clunky, with not much thought put into the words. I found myself genuinely enjoying the way this one was written. As someone who grew up mainly with Friendship is Magic, the change that the characters have gone through is really interesting to me, mainly Rarity and Spike. I have to admit, Spike’s colors threw me a little bit. But I know this Spike came far before the Friendship is Magic Spike, so I can’t complain about that!
