After a young girl's mother and father -- both scientists involved in blood genetics -- are murdered in a cult ritual, she becomes obsessed with uncovering the killers. She moves in with her aunt, a professional photographer in Washington, D.C., and becomes obsessed with piecing together photographic "evidence." Only when she meets a female minister whom she suspects to be aligned with the cult that killed her parents, does she discover something of equal, if not greater value than the identity of her parents' killers.
