Quran scholar and exegete, and educationist, who extended the work of his tutor, Amin Ahsan Islahi, Ghamidi is the founder of Al-Mawrid Institute of Islamic Sciences and its sister organisation Danish Sara. He became a member of Council of Islamic Ideology on 28 January 2006 for a couple of years, a constitutional body responsible for giving legal advice on Islamic issues to Pakistan Government and the Parliament. He has also taught at the Civil Services Academy from 1980 until 1991. He is running an intellectual movement similar to Wastiyya in Egypt on the popular electronic media of Pakistan.

مدرسہ فراہی کے تیسرے امام جاوید احمد غامدی کی یہ تصنیف تین حصوں میں منقسم ہے ۔ پہلے حصے میں غامدی صاحب کی اپنے ذاتی زندگی سے کچھ حالات و واقعات کا بیان ہے۔ دوسرے حصے میں فقہ کے کچھ مسائل پر بات کی گئی ہے۔ اور تیسرے حصے میں تنقید و تدبیر پر مضامین ہیں۔ پہلا حصہ ایک ادیب کی سر گزشت ہے۔ دوسرا حصہ ایک فقیہ کے قلم سے نکلا ہے۔ اور تیسرا حصہ ایک مصلح کی مناجات ہیں۔
یوں تو ہر مضمون گزشتگان کی ایک جھلکی ہے مگر اِن ماضی سے مستعار منظروں میں آئندگان کا ایک نظارہ بھی موجود ہے۔ مروجہ نظامِ تعلیم پر تنقید کے بعد ایک نئے نظامِ تعلیم کا ڈھانچہ اور سانچہ ، جو اِس کتاب کے آخری دو مضامین کا موضوع ہے، آنے والے وقت کی وہ تصویر کھینچتا ہے جہاں ہماری دینیات اور ضروریات ایک نقطے پر مرتکز ہو جاتی ہیں۔ بنیادی اور اختصاصی تعلیم کا فرق ، پرانے مضامین کی تقسیم، نئے مضامین کی تشکیل اور مداراج کا لحاظ یہ سب ایک درد مند مصلح کے قلم کی پیداوار ہے جسے ہم ایک فقیہ کی فقہ سمجھ کے رد کر چکے ہیں ۔

Bilashuba Behtreen Adab o hikmat, Fiqh, aur zaati fahm ka guldasta. Qom o millat ke liye ek nayi raah, aur sahih deeni rawaiyye ka ek munkashif makhaz. Khayalat aur muashre ki islah ki ek taaza peshkash. Ek baat aur jo mujhe Javed Ahmed Ghamidi ki janib maail karti hai, wo ye ke jo unwan, jo istilah, jo fehm, jo Deen ka structure inke yahan aur inke asatiza ke yahan milta hai, wo riwayti ulama se mukhtalif o munfarid hai. Agar qom ke ulama riwayat se mawra hokr ya sirf isi ko unwan na banakar, Quran aur deen ke makhaz ko samjhen to shayad jadeed zehan, jo ilhaad aur deegar ideologies se mutassir hai, deen se wo beraghbati, beashnai ka shikar na ho. Khair, main Javed Ahmad Ghamidi, aur unke talaba ko yakbast janibdari, ya authority ki tarah qubul karne ka bhi qaail nahi hon. Halanke meri kya bisat ke main unke jaise ulama aur mufakkir se ikhtilaf karne ki jasarat ya justuju ka hamil houn, phir bhi koshish yahi rahegi, ke is fahm, is fikr ko apne liye kisi firqe ke idrak ki tarah na qubool karun. Ikhtilaf ki raahen hamesha khuli hain. Aaj nahi to shayad kal Allah is Qabil kare ke ilmi noiyyat se unki afkar par guftugu kar paun. Wallahu Aalam.

very beautiful urdu literature book by Ghamidi. This book gives me a lot of beautiful words and high standard urdu. Little historic also, nice one.
