An historical novella by Kitti Bernetti with menage and MM themes.

It is a truth, universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife. But, unlike the wealthy D'arcy, Cavendish De Courcy's family is broke and he must marry an heiress to save the De Courcys from ruin. When, two weeks from his wedding, he meets the superbly proportioned Nathaniel and succumbs to all the illicit joys that gay 18th-century London brings, how on Earth can Cavendish face his nightly duty to his new wife? And how will he and Nathaniel ever find their happy ever after?

This was quite a good and pretty accurate historically, regency story about Cavendish, a man of title but impoverished aristocracy, and due to marry his intended, Arabella, a woman who brings wealth as her dowry to her title...but Cavendish finds himself drawn to an artist's male model, Nathaniel. Oh what a merry entangled web is weaved as males experiment with their lust and love, and some interesting goings on for Cavendish to be able to consummate his marriage.
The illegalities of male sexual relationships of that time is shown when police raid a 'Molly house'.
I liked how the story pans out, and of all the one thing that doesn't somehow ring true is the valet's name...Peregrine, definitely an aristocratic name and quite pretentious for a valet.

Four stars from me for this.

Cavendish De Courcy's family is broke and he must marry an heiress to save the De Courcys from ruin. A few weeks before his marriage he meets Nathaniel a very good looking boy and he realizes why he is so unfulfilled he's gay and although tries to stay away and do the right thing he can not. I liked this story but the wording drove me nuts I know people talked different in the 18th-century. I liked that Nathaniel showed Cavendish what he was missing by taking him to the house of sin. Arabella the wife was too naïve for me. I wish the sex scenes would have been better. But overall this was a good story I just wish it was longer.
