At twenty years of age, Nathaniel Maxwell Adams Jr., better known as Nate, fulfills a prophecy he made

eleven years prior by moving to Pine Haven. What he

hadn't planned in his youth, though, was to become a

pastor, especially since his parents adamantly oppose the

idea. So, as he shepherds a flock in the growing Montana

town, he feels called to another smaller yet no less

significant mission field: his mother and father.

For years, orphan Hailee Annigan was just a ragamuffin,

roaming the Cincinnati streets trying to keep food in the

mouths of her two younger brothers and herself. This often

meant thieving, which landed her in the Sanctuary of Hope,

a home for delinquent youngsters. There, her life changed,

thanks to her patient, loving teachers. Now, at eighteen, she

pursues a dream to become a teacher herself and bravely

accepts a position in Montana. She still has faith that she'll

find her brothers again someday, but for now, she's ready to

put the past behind her.

When their paths converge in Pine Haven, their lives begin

to overlap in ways they can't ignore. And they must discover

if God intends for their destinies to converge, as well.

The third, and final, book in the Montana Skies series, Hailee was a great conclusion to this very sweet trilogy. Breaking away from sister’s McKenzie and Kaydie a bit, this book focuses on their sister’s son, Nathaniel(Nate), and Hailee Annigan. Nate is a minister, and Hailee a teacher searching for her two younger brothers she lost contact with several years before.

While Nate and Hailee grew up vastly different—Nate with all the comfort and ease money could buy, and Hailee a dirty ragamuffin on the city streets. Yet both wind up in Pine Haven, Montana, both are newcomers...and each is attracted to the other. Yes, it made for a very sweet love story as they slowly grew acquainted, courted, and finally married. The twist of his mother coming to visit, Peyton, was really interesting and I loved the closer this book gave to the last Worthington sister.

Hailee—and the two previous ones in the series, McKenzie and Kaydie—is an easy, Christ-centered and clean book with a great story, perfect for all ages. Nothing questionable and a series I will be passing on to my younger sisters (who are approaching teen-hood very quickly! ;-) The writing style was easy to read and I found myself flying through the pages. The flashback scenes were rather lengthy, but maybe that’s because I’m the type who always can’t wait to see what’s around the next bend in the story.

Through Penny Zeller’s writings, the town of Pine Haven Montana comes to life. Filled with characters that are hard to forget (and if you’ve read either of the last two books, you know Lucille is pretty unforgettable! *smile*) All in all, a very pleasant read!

Penny is a delightful individual that loves to write, loves the Lord, and loves to share. Today we're going to share a bit about another of her books in the Montana Skies series, Hailee. After you read a bit about the book and then my thoughts, you can enter the giveaway of a copy of the book Penny has so graciously provided.

Penny Zeller is a dedicated author to the genre of Christian fiction. She brings strong characters to the scene of her stories and a very strong message of God's love and forgiveness and His grace.

Hailee is the third book in the Montana Skies series. In books one and two we met sisters McKenzie and Kaydee. These two had beautiful life stories filled with the fallen nature of man, the Grace of God, and the forgiveness one can find in each other but mostly in and through God Himself. Hailee is not the third "sister," but she is a lovely young lady who has been redeemed from the ills of society and the sin of her nature and her deeds by the kindness of the teachers she encounters and by the Grace of God.

When Hailee reaches adulthood, she embraces the opportunity to travel to Montana as a teacher in the small community of Pine Haven (home of McKenzie and Kaydee). She is met by the dashing pastor of the local church, Nate Adams. Nate's story is another in the Grace and Direction of God in the life of an individual.

Penny Zeller has truly written a sweet, romantic, tender story that you would not be afraid to place in the hands of your best friend, your tender young lady, or the gentle grandmotherly lady in your community.

Which of the three books in the Montana Skies series is my favorite? That I can not tell, because they are all good, sweet, and well written and I enjoyed each of them.

In this third book of the Montana Skies series, Hailee has answered an ad wanting a new teacher in the Montana Territory and she gets the job. While she is anticipating the new job opportunity, she is still unsettled about leaving Cincinnati because of her two brothers. Hailee and her brothers were separated at a very young age when their parents passed away and she hasn’t seen them since, despite her attempts of trying to find them. She believes God will still bring them to her, even if she is a long way from home.

After visiting his aunts McKenzie and Kaydee in Pine Haven with his grandmother when he was a youngster, Maxwell Nathaniel Adams, Jr., better known as Nate decides then and there he will move to Montana as an adult, despite what his parents will think. And years later, he did just that, and now is the new preacher in town. Of course his wealthy and high society parents thinks this is just a phase Nate is going through with religion and all and are sure it will pass and their son will come home and work in the family business like he is suppose to, so they say.

This is another sweet, awesome book by the wonderful storyteller Penny Zeller. To sum up Hailee in one word would be WOW! Again, wonderful, unique, loveable characters woven into a story so enjoyable I was homesick for this heartwarming little community in Montana. I don’t want this series to end!

So much happens in this book. Nate and Hailee find they are attracted to each other. Hailee is still looking for some word from her brothers; Nate’s parents come for a visit only to be victims of a tragedy, and that’s just some of the good stuff. And now the questions I know you are wondering. Will Nate and Hailee find love, or will Nate decide to move back home to Boston with his parents? What will Nate’s parents think of Montana and will they survive the tragedy that happens to them? Will Hailee’s brothers see her ad’s posted around Cincinnati and contact her? All this and more in this third book in the Montana Skies series. And I gotta say, I loved that Nate chose Montana, after growing up in a extremely different lifestyle with more money than his family knew what to do with. The Montana Territory was pretty much the extreme the other way with life being more difficult and money not easy to come by.

I rec’d a complimentary copy of the book from the author. Thank you so much Penny! The opinions are mine alone. I was not ask to write a positive review of this book.

After losing both her parents at a young age, Hailee Annigan is solely responsible for caring for her two younger brothers. While living in an abandoned hotel, she resorts to stealing to feed her siblings when no one will give her work. One day, her life of crime comes to an end and she finds herself in a Christian home for delinquent youth. Even with the help of the home, she is unable to locate the only family she has left. After being trained as a teacher, she heads to Montana, plagued by her shameful past. She can only pray that her brothers will have found loving and safe homes and that God will reunite them someday. She heads out to Pine Haven, Montana, hopeful that her past will not ruin her future.

Nate Adams was raised in high-society Boston. His family has had his future planned out for him since he was born and it did not include becoming a pastor. His parents attend church as a social function and do not understand his calling. They refuse to accept his position of pastor of a church in rugged Montana as anything more than a lark and something he just needs to get out of his system. Will he be able to convince them that he’s there to stay and this is what the Lord has called him to do? Will he ever convince his parents that God is real and He loves them?

When Nate and Hailee meet, they are drawn to one another almost instantly. Their upbringings are about as different as one can imagine. Will their circumstances pull them apart? Can they overcome the obstacles of their past to create a future together?

This is the third and final book in the Montana Skies Series. Hailee is a sweet romance that shows that no matter where you come from or whatever life throws at you, you can overcome anything with the saving mercy and grace of Jesus Christ. God does indeed have a plan for each of us and amazing things can happen if we put our lives in His hands. This story definitely shows that. I have also read McKenzie (Book One) and Kaydie (Book Two) and enjoyed seeing the characters of those books return to have a part in Nate and Hailee’s story. I invite you to read this book and take a journey to a wonderful community and live alongside characters who will make you wish Pine Haven was a real place.

Hailee tells the story of a sweet romance between Hailee Annigan and minister Maxwell Nathaniel Adams, Jr. Their lives come together in a small town in Montana after Hailee travels from Cincinnati, Ohio, to take a job as the community school teacher. As Nate shows her around town and introduces her to the residents he grows attracted to her, and she to him. They come from two different worlds. Nate’s wealthy parents expect him to return home to Boston and become a lawyer in his father’s firm. Hailee’s parents died when she was very young. She fended for herself and her two younger brothers until a policeman caught her stealing food and took her to The Sanctuary, a place for wayward children. Separation from her two brothers causes Hailee great pain as she searches for them in vain. She tacks up flyers before she leaves Cincinnati in the hope one or both of them will see one. She and Nate grow close, but Hailee worries that she isn’t worthy of him because of her past. When one of Hailee’s brothers comes to town, the truth about her misguided youth comes out. Nate’s parents also arrive in town and fall prey to a robber who shoots the senior Mr. Adams. How do Hailee and Nate handle those in the community who want to fire Hailee because of her past, and how do Mr. and Mrs. Adams come to accept her?
Hailee’s filled with interesting characters that warm the heart and a plot that keeps readers turning pages. I love the way Penny Zeller wove so many little stories into her book to bring the personalities of the characters and their pasts to life. I highly recommend this historical sweet romance with a strong message of faith. It will take the reader back in time to a peaceful community in Montana.

This is a really feel good story! A great read to snuggle down with!
You will find some parts that you wish you could be there and help those little children!
The descriptions are wonderful...can just picture Pine Haven Montana, and all the different people who live there! When you come from a city in the late 1800's to rural Montana it had to be a real eye opener!
Throughout the book there is a strong faith in God, loved how he is interwoven with each individual and works in their lives.
This is the third book in the series, and you do not have to read the first two to enjoy this one. It can stand alone and enough information is give to make you aware of who everyone is. Enjoy Hailee's and Nate's love story!

This book was provided by Publisher Whitaker House, and I was not required to give a positive review!

I very much enjoyed reading Hailee. There was anticipation and a little excitement. The ending came together beautifully. I loved that we got a glimpse of zack, McKenzie, Jonah, Kaydie and the rest of the crew back on the ranch as well as those in town. Now that I've finished the series, I will actually miss the characters. They were so realistic.

Penny Zeller is an author whom I had never heard of until I started reading book blogs, but the more I read about her christian books the more I wanted to read one. Luckily for me I had the opportunity to read "Hailee" and all I can say is what a wonderful storyteller. It is so easy to see how God works thru Penny. The stories she weaves allows us to relate to characters who are struggling with personal issues, but those characters realize that God truly has the answers, a reminder that we all can use from time to time.
The story "Hailee" transports us back to July 1893. Hailee Annigan is about to embark on a new future, while she is excited to begin her new life as a teacher in Pine Haven Montana, she hates to leave Cincinnati not knowing what happened to her two brothers, Philip and Reuben. You see Hailee and her brothers were orphaned as children, and when Hailee provides food for her siblings the only way she knew how,by stealing, she is caught, which caused her to be taken to The Sanctuary of Promise a home for wayward children, a place that literally changed her life. The only problem was she was separated from her brothers Philip and Reuben that day and has no idea what happened to them. Now its years later and as she leaves Cincinnati she wonders if she will ever see her brothers again. When she arrives in Montana, she meets Nate Adams the preacher who hired her. The two hit it off and Nate starts to have feelings for Hailee, but Nate comes from a prominent background, and Hailee is afraid that her background may come out and she will be judged because of it. Will Nate and Hailee find true love together? Will Hailee ever find her brothers again?
"Hailee" is the third book in Penny Zeller's Montana Skies series but can easily be read as a stand alone work. I haven't read the first two books but had no problems following this story. I loved the way the author uses words to paint a picture of the story she is telling. I could just envision the scenes of the book playing out in my head. From Hailee cutting her hair to alter her appearance when she was stealing food, or when she stole her teachers wig. I could also feel the desperation that she must have felt knowing her brothers relied on her but she was unable to go back to them that final time.I liked the way the author used flashbacks to reveal the main characters past. The two main characters were easy to like. Nate's parents wanted him to be a lawyer, but he wanted to become a minister and moved away from his family to accomplish his goal, although I think his parents believed he would tire of the life and come home for his schooling. Hailee's joy in landing a teaching job was tempered by the fact that she may never find out what happened to her brothers if she left Cincinnati.
I was totally delighted with this story and the positive christian themes that were woven through out. If your a fan of historical fiction that have wonderful characters a positive message and a nice romance woven in then run out and purchase the Montana Sky Series, because if your like me you are going to want to read all three books! Highly recommended!

Montana Skies series by Penny Zeller book #3 "Hailee"

These books can be read alone or together, I always like to read the whole series but in this one I read books #1 & #3, each story has it own unique character with tidbits from story before...I enjoyed reading Hailee's story -thanks for adding this one to your series Penny.

Maxwell Nathaniel Adams Jr is the only son of a Boston couple but dreams of going to the rugged mountains of Montana, his dad wants him to follow in his steps and be a lawyer but his heart tells him he needs to follow Christ and wants to preach. His aunts live in Pine Haven Montana and when he hears of a pastor retiring and his chance to be their next pastor he goes to Montana.
Hailee grew up in the big city of Cincinnati, Ohio and when circumstances leave she and her brothers on the streets-she resorts to begging and stealing so they have food to eat and even then they are cold and starving many times.
Whe Hailee becomes arrested and taken to "Sanctuary of Ptomise", to be rehabilitated is the worst and best for her though she didnt think so. She had not been able to take her brothers food and now they were gone and she was left searching for them after she finished her time at the Sanctuary school. They were good to her there and she was taught to become a teacher. when she was offered a job teaching in faraway Montana she accepted and left notes all around Cincinnati for her brothers to find her, always hoping one day they would be reunited.
Montana was so different from Ohio and Hailee met many new folks and fell in love with the area.
From the beginning Nate met her at the station and became a friend showing her around the area and introducing her to everyone. They both felt "sparks" from the moment they met could this street urchin turned teacher and a pastor find comon grounds to build a relationship on?
The community embraced Hailee and she was a good teacher for them.
I enjoyed reading this book and seeing how the brothers eventually did find their sister and Hailee thrived in her new home.
Second chances can abound when we least expect them-we must put our faith in the bigger picture and not limit what can be....

There is always a feeling of great excitement and anticipation when I go to the Post Office and find the latest book by Penny Zeller waiting there for me. I was not disappointed when I picked up my copy of Hailee either. I could barely wait to drive home, crack open the cover, and begin reading. The pages flew by all too quickly and I reached the final page long before I was ready for it.

Once again, Penny has written an emotional and heart-warming story of love and adventure in the vast open spaces of the Montana frontier. The descriptions of life in in the late 1800s are so vivid that you feel as if you are one with the story. I became so engrossed in the plot that I ceased to feel like a spectator, but instead felt as if I were living the story right alongside Hailee.

Hailee and Nate are both such likeable characters that you can't help but desire for them to be together. Hailee, however, feels unworthy of Nate's love because she has a secret past. When that past is inadvertently revealed to the townspeople and the parents of her students, Hailee's chance of a future with Nate seems doomed. Can Hailee expect mercy from those whom she has deceived? Will Nate be able to forgive her for her wrong-doing?

What Hailee and the citizens of Pine Haven fail to take into consideration is that the misdeeds of her youth have long been forgiven and forgotten by the only One who truly matters. Since God has forgiven her, is it wrong for Hailee to hope that Nate will do likewise? Why won't the residents of the town that Hailee has already grown to love forgive her too?

Many years ago, the English poet Alexander Pope wrote the words, "To err is human, to forgive Divine." This is the truth that Penny Zeller has so ably portrayed in the pages of Hailee. God's forgiveness is easily obtained but it is the job of the Great Deceiver, the Father of Lies, to try to convince us that our sins are so vile that forgiveness is not possible. For a story that truly depicts the reality of Christ's mercy and forgiveness, I recommend that you read this excellent book.

Hailee
By: Penney Zeller

I love nothing more than reading a book that I feel I can step off into its pages and feel as if I'm included, that I stepped into the same era, and lived in the same town, knew the same people, shared the same friends and prayed for the same neighbors. And I felt as if I was right there with Hailee, I could feel her fear, excitement, her happiness, her sadness and her faith.

Penny Zeller presents her characters so vividly that you feel you have a personal relationship with them and you get completely caught up in their lives. I knew when I read McKenzie that I would love Penny Zellers books, Hailee just confirmed it. I could easily see that she put her heart and faith into her work and that she truly wanted her work to be blessed and for that work to be a blessing to others. Her books have a message for each of us, it's as if she wrote to us individually, without question Penny has a gift, a gift she has been generous enough to share with us.

I found Hailee to be deeply moving book, we all have been in situations where we had a choice to forgive and we managed that forgiveness but when we as individuals ask for forgiveness and we receive it and we need to let go and forgive ourselves it's something few of us can do easily if at all. Hailee demonstrates that it's through true faith we are forgiven and it's is also through grace and true faith we find forgiveness in our own hearts.

You will love Reverend Nate (Maxwell Nathaniel Adams, Jr) , his kindness and experience touch your heart, he knows what it's like to make mistakes and he knows what it's like to be forgiven. More importantly he knows how difficult it is for us as individuals to forgive ourselves, for he personally traveled the same road and knows the road well
I have feel so blessed to receive and read the books in Montana Skies and I know you will feel blessed also.

Hailee is book three in the Montana Skies series by Penny Zeller.

In this volume we meet Hailee, an orphan with two younger brothers. Because they were left on their own, she took on the responsibility of her little brothers. Eventually, Hailee is separated from them through bad choices she made, and was taken to a home for delinquents. There her life is changed despite her rebellion.

We meet Hailee in 1893 when she is nineteen and setting out to make a life for herself as a teacher. Through her memories of guilt and shame, and her learning to accept God’s forgiveness, we learn about her past and her heartache over still not knowing the whereabouts of her brothers.

There is another main character in this story. Nate, although brought up in Boston’s high society, chose to live a much simpler life as a pastor in a small rugged town – much to the great displeasure of his parents. He loves his new life among the varied and interesting personalities in the little town in Montana.

Hailee and Nate come from very different backgrounds, so when their paths intersect their lives take an interesting turn. There is drama, danger, love, family conflict, and more.

The reader is invited along in the journey in a way that makes one unwilling to leave the story even when necessary. Penny Zeller created characters who are believable, scenes that are well-described, and unfolding drama that keeps the pages turning. She subtly presents the message of God’s love and grace in a gentle and convincing way, making this an enjoyable read.

Although Hailee is book three of the Montana Skies series, the first two books are not needed to make this one understandable; the author neatly ties them all together. Having said that, once you read Hailee you will probably want to read McKenzie and Kaydie.

Title: HAILEE
Author: Penny Zeller
Publisher: Whitaker House
September 2011
ISBN: 978-1-60374-218-4
Genre: Inspirational/historical romance

Hailee Annigan has searched for her two little brothers, Philip and Reuben, ever since she was freed from the Cincinatti “sanctuary” she was raised in after she was caught stealing. She’s always wondered what happened to them—even now, when she goes to Montana after she’s hired as teacher.

Pastor Nate Adams originally came to Montana with his grandmother, and even as a young boy he knew he wanted to live there someday, away from the busy streets of Boston where he grew up. And when he’s older, he is offered the job as pastor in the community he and his grandmother visited so long ago.

When Nate and Hailee meet, she almost literally falls into his arms. Their attraction is immediate. But with her brothers still missing, Hailee doesn’t feel free to find happiness. Will she ever find her brothers? Or will she allow herself to fall in love if she doesn’t?

HAILEE is the third and final book in Ms. Zeller’s Montana Sky series, but it easily stands alone. Several characters from previous books do make an appearance in this book, as do a host of other interesting and realistic characters. I especially loved the nosy Lucille.

Penny Zeller has penned a heart-warming conclusion to her Montana Sky series with HAILEE. This book grabbed my attention from page one and kept it as I prayed for Hailee not only find her two missing brothers but also to find happiness and love in Montana. Ms. Zeller doesn't disappoint with her historically accurate romances. If you are looking for a good historical romance, then be sure to pick up a copy of HAILEE. $9.99. 311 pages.

Hailee is another great book from Penny Zeller

In 1965 we stayed in a nice hotel in Downtown Denver. Only a few months later the place sat vacant, an eyesore on the street while the building awaited demolition to make room for a new high rise business building.
So when I read about Hailee Annigan and her brothers trying to survive in a vacant hotel, it was easy for me to imagine the orphans living in such a place, working at the jobs they could find, but sometimes stealing so they could eat.
But I’m getting ahead, or should I say behind? Penny Zeller opens the story with Hailee tying up ends so she can travel to her new teaching job in Montana. Among her tasks is posting her new address around downtown Cincinnati so her long-lost brothers can find her.
In the best use of back story I’ve read, Penny Zeller turns back the clock and we’re with Hailee and the boys in the dark unheated building, wondering where the next meal will come from and whether one of them will be caught by police.
After several narrow escapes, Hailee is caught. Her thievery lands her in jail, but then her home becomes the Sanctuary of Promise and her brothers disappear.
Thus begins a story of struggle, worry, and eventually hope and romance. But what if her suitor discovers her background?
Penny Zeller does a great job with this book, creating characters, and taking us from the present to the past. I ordinarily skip much of the back story, but she didn’t tell it, she showed it in vivid detail, and I enjoyed it.
This another good book from this author and I recommend it.

The first two books in this series were great! I have reviews for them on here for McKenzie and Kaydie. Be sure to check those out if you haven't read them. Penny has created some great characters in her books. Hailee is no exception. I love Hailee and Nate even more than the others, if that is possible.

Hailee is a sweet young woman despite the hard times she has lived through as a child. She is very sensitive and caring. It would have been easy for her to be harsh and closed up inside herself. Despite the fact that God worked a miracle in her life she still believes that if people knew what she had done as a young girl they would hate her.

Nate is a young man that seems wise beyond his 21 years. He is kind and patient even with those who test him greatly. I loved the cousin relationship between him and Davey. After getting to know Davey as a little boy in the first two books and then to see him as a 17 year old was fun. I love seeing characters in other books that I enjoyed in the previous ones.

As the last two, Hailee is a great book for any age. I would recommend this book especially to young girls who love to read and need something wholesome with good life lessons in them. For both of these young characters you see how they allowed God to lead them down the path they are on. Keep up the great work, Penny!

This is the third book in the Montana Skies series and a great third book. I had McKenzie in my top ten of last year and I would happily add Hailee to my top reads this year. Hailee has come from a sad childhood her parents died and she is left to help look after her two brothers one of who has a turned foot and uses crutches. She and one brother try to find work but are to young and Hailee resorts to stealing food. she is caught and separated from her brothers and taken to a institution where she is loved and eventually earns her teaching degree. She heads to Montana and here she meets Nate who is now the pastor of the church and the nephew of both Mckenzie and kaydie and had left Boston to be a pastor. Hailee is scared her past will come out and she wont be accepted. Nate has some issues of his own to deal with also. What I love about the book is seeing both Hailee and Nates stories as we see flashbacks of important events. This book deals with assumptions, acceptance, and understanding. I also love how we get to see people I loved from the other books back in this story. There are a couple of children in this book that threaten to steal this story at times.

This third book in the Montana Skies series is just delightful. Hailee and Nate are very different with different backgrounds. She an orphan, he brought up in high-society, how will they every get together?
Hailee becomes a teacher, Nate becomes a preacher. Both have pasts that make them think they are unworthy to be loved, but know God has forgiven and forgotten.
I love the way Hailee has such love for her young brothers and tries everything to keep them all together.
This is a very sweet read and sweet romance. You will see the way the Lord works in both of their lives and works out things in their families lives.
If you haven’t read the first two books in the series you can still read Hailee and follow along, but the first two books are exceptional as well. Highly recommended.

Hailee: Montana Skies #3 by Penny Zeller which I won through Goodreads was light, a breath of fresh air, thought provoking and spiritual. It was a story about orphans, Montana ranchers and Bostan society families coming together not only from different backgrounds but also different spiritual backgrounds. It reminds us how we humans need the presence of a higher power to assist us in our day to day decisions, actions, and inter-actions with our fellow human beings.

I liked the way Ms Zeller went from present to past to explain the fuller story. I'm sure there is a word for that in writing but I don't know it!

I usually read mystery, thrillers, true life stories, historic romance, biographies, and the Bible but I would recommend this book to anyone. Ms Zeller's Montana Skies series #1 and #2 I will definetly read.

I won this book in a Goodreads giveaway.
This was the very light fast read. The thing about light romance is not that the hero and heroine get together; we know they will get together, it is the journey. There were not a lot of turns in this journey.

The hero Nate had already stood up to his parents to become a minister in the first place, so not marrying the women they had picked out for him was not a consideration. If he had stood up to his parents on his career choice it was unlikely he would be pressured by the town’s high society’s daughter.

The heroine, Hailee, while not so sure of herself, is likeable. Her past of stealing to feed her younger brothers upsets her more than it should, but without that guilty we would not have the lesson of grace and mercy in the book.

If you want a quick read this could be the book for you.

Penny Zeller brings her Montana Skies saga to an end with the sweet love story of Nate Adams and Hailee Annigan.

Orphaned and separated as children, Hailee spends years searching for her brothers. When she arrives as the teacher in Pine Haven, Pastor Nate Adams discovers unique attributes that exceed Hailee’s teaching abilities. Meanwhile, Nate struggles with family issues when his socialite parents cannot comprehend why their son would forgo a career as a Boston lawyer to settle in a wilderness town as a preacher.

Penny Zeller offers the reader a glimpse into God’s far reaching plans for individuals as Hailee and Nate face each challenging situation.

This novel provides a satisfying conclusion to the series. I highly recommend Penny Zeller’s Montana Skies trilogy, McKenzie, Kaydie, and Hailee.

Penny Zellar's latest offering, Hailee is a must read for all women. This historical novel is an uplifing story about a young woman, Hailee Annigan who has been separated from her young, orphaned siblings and placed in a detention home Once there, she received schooling to become a school teacher and is called to Montana to teach. Though she is heasitant to leave, she goes anyway. Once there, she meets Nate, the local minister and a courtship ensues. I enjoyed the plot line. As I read, I found myself becoming lost in the story and rooting for this heroine to find true love and to find her family.

Her story is one of hope and encouragement. I think that all women who read novels will enjoy this one. Kudos to Penny Zeller!

By far, the best book in the series! I enjoyed the story line of books one and two, but not the writing style. The storyline, as well as the writing style, far exceeded the other two books. I felt more connected to the characters. Loved Nate and Hailee.

I also enjoyed visiting with old friends from the previous books. I actually find myself wishing for a fourth book in the series. It was good to see the changes God made in so many lives. The ending was so sweet .. and very fitting.

This book is worth the read. It could be read as a stand alone; there's enough backstory included that reading the prior books is not required. Plus, this book picks up ten years after book two ended.

I enjoyed reading the first two books in the Montana Skies series and third one, "Hailee," was no different. Author Penny Zeller is a great writer and through her stories teaches life lessons we can all relate to and need to be reminded of!
In Hailee we meet a young girl (Hailee) who is doing her best to watch over her younger brothers..in doing so she doesn't always make the best choices..and ends up being separated from them. She wonders if she will ever see them again. But God's plan isn't always what we think it will or should be and has Hailee learns...He works everything out for those who love Him...even if it's in mysterious ways.

Love can be a treacherous mix of romance, danger, trials, and joy. Penny Zeller’s Hailee packs all that and more into the story of one family’s life as they navigate the wild west. Hailee must cope with a long distance move, lost family, and romantic interests she’s not entirely prepared for. With a growing faith and dear friends, Hailee learns how to juggle the journey God has placed her on.

Penny winds a captivating tale of love and adventure through Hailee’s story. It’s an enjoyable read that is well written and promises to make your heart sing.

Triumph over adversity is what Hailee has done her whole life. Orphaned and taking care of her two younger brothers, she does things she is not proud of. Is separated from her brothers and placed in a home, where once again she triumphs by getting her teaching certificate. Still looking for her brothers, she moves west to teach where she again triumphs over the harsh west and finds a new life and love. Will her past try to triumph over her, or will she once again triumph? An easy, enjoyable read.

I thought the first book in this series, McKenzie, was my favorite. But I have to say this last one was even better. There was so much going on in it that I didn't want to put the book down. Penny also added some wonderful messages in Hailee that you could apply to your own life, marriage, and family. I've grown to love the fictional characters in this series and I'm sad to see it end. I look forward to reading future books by Penny. She is a talented author with a very creative mind. I highly recommend buying all three books in her Montana Skies series. You won't regret it!
