Count the number of people at your table.
More than 2 or 3? Overeaters? This isn't for you.

Fabulous for the brand new bride, pre-children. As a 16-year-old newlywed, I know ...omg...but that was my reality, learning to cook for a hungry teen husband, and doing my highschool homework, I was a STAR in the kitchen, thanks to this portion-wise, diverse full menu cookbook I learned my way around the stove, oven, and broiler.

It taught me what sides and dessert goes with a main dish, something my mom never learned.

Kids? I doubled the recipes then moved on to more advanced cookbooks.

Now? I'm back to TWO.

Book lover that I am, I kept my original Cooking for Two.

I found it challenging NOT cooking for a crowd save for this portion-savvy reminder of good eats in correct quantity for a healthy human body never goes out of style.

Memories

A good reference for perhaps empty nesters. My mom called the other day because she could not remember how to make meatloaf. This would have helped.

A slim volume of beginner recipes, that don't threaten a novice in the kitchen. Full of good ideas on variations to the presented recipes. Value for the money.

I probably would have marked more recipies, but the photos were lacking, so I wasn't as enticed. The selection is limited as well.

This cookbook is fabulous because not only are the recipes delicious, but they are portioned for just two people! My husband and I get a lot of use out of this book.

I checked this out from the library & it had enough recipes that look good that I will probably buy it.
