We all know we couldn't wait to read the sequel and I couldn't put it down. Part 2 was more devastating then part 1 and the girls had me rolling with laughter, omg's and tears in the end. I had to remind myself once again this is just a book but how can you. The author needs to have a part 3 and like I said Epiphany needs her own book to tell her story. The ending to me was unexpected which is good bad damn yyyyy....In all I enjoyed the book and took some knowledge from it as well Pay back is a B!@#$...and what is done in the dark will always come to light. It also reminded us that everything happens for a reason and at times you may not know why but God has his plan for us and all we have to do is follow it and to put your trust in him for all your trails and tribulations you may have in life he can handle it for you if you let him into your life and accept him as your Saviour.

This read is cool. It’s much better than the first, but because She F***** over Her best characters (IMO, of course, Y do Writers Do This?) this read only gets three stars.

P.S. Ladies Please Stop talking to Other Women about your Men.....lol

This book is a drama filled page turner that captures your attention with its "in the hood" scene. It teaches people that tomorrow is not promised to you and that time heals all wounds. But all in all its a good book.

The high-octane sequel to the urbane fiction classic *Sheisty*. It continues the gritty, dramatic saga of three childhood friends—Epiphany, Keisha, and Shana—navigating the treacherous streets of Southside Jamaica, Queens.

If you enjoyed the first book, this sequel doubles down on the "sheisty" behavior, exploring the consequences of betrayal and the reality that "what goes around comes around."

---

## **Plot Overview**
The story picks up with the three protagonists still entangled in the web of drama they spun in the first installment. The central theme is the dissolution of their once-tight bond due to envy, money, and the dangerous men in their lives.

* **Epiphany Wright:** Struggling with amnesia after surviving a near-fatal shooting, Epiphany remains focused on money and "trickin’ for dough." Despite having opportunities for a better life, her inability to leave the "hood" mentality behind creates a path of self-destruction.

* **Keisha Moore:** Traditionally the "good girl" of the group, Keisha finds her image—and her marriage to Tucker—shattered. Her infidelities and the toxic influence of those around her lead to a tragic downward spiral.

* **Shana Scott:** Immersed in the drug game, Shana is "handling her business" but finds herself betrayed by former associates. Her storyline involves lying low from the police while trying to balance her loyalty to her man and her own freedom.

---

## **Key Themes & Critical Analysis**

### **The "Hood" Mentality**
Baker leans heavily into the proverb, "You can take the girl out of the hood, but you can't take the hood out of the homegirl." The characters are often their own worst enemies, sabotaging stable relationships and safety for the rush of the streets or quick cash.

### **Consequences and Karma**
Unlike many urban novels that glamorize the lifestyle, *Still Sheisty* is noted for its lack of a "Cinderella ending." This book emphasizes that life-and-death choices have permanent stakes. The ending is notoriously polarizing for fans due to its suddenness and somber tone.

### **Character Dynamics**
The friendship that once defined the trio is almost entirely fractured here. The narrative explores how "sheisty" (deceptive/shady) behavior acts like a virus, spreading from the characters to their partners and families, ultimately costing them everything.

---

## **Final Verdict**
*Still Sheisty* is an essential read for fans of early 2000s urban fiction. It is less a story about friendship and more a cautionary tale about the cycles of street life. While the editing in some editions has been noted for minor errors, the raw storytelling and dramatic twists keep it a staple of the genre.

okay so i finished this book so damn fast thats literally how good it was.. like this book literally made me want to cut off all females .. thats how sheisty she was writing it
shana and kc their relationship really really made me mad and the fact that shana stuck through some of the stuff that she did is beyond me. im glad they finally got it together towards the end of the book
keisha man oh man the way things went with her i legit felt so bad dude i damn near wanted to cry. and tucker was such a good man despite everything that he had went through
epiphany she literally irks my soul in this book man its literally always about money with her. and she managed to have a good man someone to take her out the hood and she still managed to mess that up.
cgod he went down a real real rough path in this book and i really felt bad for him sometimes but also realized like the way he treated people and the way he acted towards people was indeed his karma
i really enjoyed reading this book i swear i wish she wouldve made a 3rd one i would definitely read it.
lea was the most shiesty one of them all she literally taught me that you dont never discuss your sexual intimacy life with no friends because they will legit get envious of it
raina had me mad in this book she is the one that got shana in some shit.
overall t.n. did the damn thing on this book and i cant wait to look into some more of her books !

This was a book full of bad choices that cost everyone so much. I needed to know what was going to happen next. There were twists and turns, some expected and others that weren't. It had been so long to read the 2nd book after the first that I actually forgot a lot that had happened in the first book, so that threw me off a little. But there wasn't a doubt that there wouldn't be another book in the series.
The con to this book is the editor missed out on a lot of extra words that didn't belong and spelling. I found that annoyed me a lot.

I am writing a review on a book called STILL SHEISTY. The authors name is TN. Baker. It is a urban fiction novel. The main theme is to be true to your self and those that love you and you keep close to you.
The story is about these 3 girls that are best friends and all of them are going through some things in there lives. The main characters names are Shana,Epiphany, and Keisha. Epiphany is recovering from amnesia after being shot and surviving. Shana is a drug dealer and she is doing really good in the hood she is handeling her business. But she gets into some trouble with one of her ex-friends and they have a plan on ratting her out to the police so she has to lay low for a while. Keisha is going through a terrible break caused by a girl that use to claim she was Keisha'' friend. But she was really just trying to get close to Keishas' boyfriend. Through all of the drama and chaos they all had there families and each other.
The book is really good. It is very entertaining and when you read it you wont ever want to put the book down. I really liked this book because it dealed with the real world. There it wasn't a Cinderella story where in the end everyone lives happily ever after. It reminds me of this book that i read named KIESHA. These two books are almost the same but there not but they both have to do with the real world.
I would recommend this book to and body that likes drama.”drama kings and queens” to be exact. Its a also good for people who like to read about real life predicaments.

There were a few minor errors but nothing too drastic. I felt a little bad for Keisha because her infidelity changed not only herself but also Tucker. Their relationship took the hardest hit all because a sheisty female couldn't handle rejection. It took her losing control to realize she needed to step up and be a mother to her child because her reason was beyond crazy. I thought for sure Epiphany would get some act right after everything that occurred in her life. She was still up to her usual thinking and never stopped to consider what more she could get out of life. Shana was sheisty for the role she played when it came to helping Smitty. She could've avoided a lot had she just kept it real with K.C instead of trying to be so secretive. Ness and Smitty were both working my nerves. Ness let his newfound success cause too much drama Smitty didn't realize he needed to leave well enough alone until it was too late. Leanne was wrong for what she did and needed her ass beat for what she did to Lil T. Well at least C-God did one thing right. I felt so bad for Tucker because as soon as he was ready to get things back on track the inevitable happened. The sheisty dealings going around was too real and complicated most things. Some got what they deserved and others had to suffer because of trusting the wrong people.

I read part one and just had to get part two still love the characters just hated how Keisha had to go out when she was the one trying to turn her life around. E still didn't learn from getting shoot at and all. Glad that Shana moved on even though I wouldn't have took K.C butt back. But, I will give part two a OK and 4 stars just wished that they edited the book a little bit I had to fill in the blanks where words was missing.

Things from the first book kept coming back to me as I read. For some reason, I don't recall the characters being so unlikable. Life is not a fairy tale and these things happen. But between that and the characters making constant bad decisions (Shana? Your husband cheats on you constantly, gives you n STD and then steals from you? Yet, you are still with him?), and Epiphany not even seeming like a real friend... 2.5 stars.

Not gonna lie, I cried. Just when you thought things were gonna get better, they get worse. I was happy when the truth anbout Lea came out, but also sad about what happened to Keisha. I was happy that K.C got his ish together and Shana was finally truly happy. Epiphany was the kind of friend you hate to love. She was a bitch majority of the time, but always kept it real. In the end I'm glad they caught Smitty I couldn't stand him.

Good follow-up to part 1. The tables seemed to have temporarily turned for Keisha & C-God whereas their so-called friends interrupted their lifestyles. The girls still managed to scheme-Epiphany even after almost dying, as well as Shauna. This book had interesting characters & was a good read that I recommend to all.

Editing in this book was slightly better than the first, but still bad enough to not rate it any higher than a three. Again, I really liked the story and wish I could've rated it higher.
