Lots of pretty walls, couches, curtains, and rugs. Though I didn't feel as inspired as I thought I would from all the photos. I was looking for more ideas on decor that didn't involve such large purchases (a new couch, rug, curtains, or wall paint). And as a mom of two toddlers, I thought none of these ideas would survive the chaos my kids bring to their surroundings.
I checked this book out from the library to see how I could incorporate blue in my living room makeover. The book was good, not great. I saw many of these photos in the magazine already, so this book held nothing new or surprising to me. If you're not a past reader if House Beautiful, the quick read may interest you. It certainly shows rooms, both subtle and saturated, with blue and blue color combinations I hadn't considered. Now most of the interior are traditional , some transition. So if you love modern, Scandinavian, minimal- this isn't for you.
This book just about FLEW from the shelf into my hands. Even the cover is gorgeous. It is such a "me" book, my husband took one look at the cover and smiled and put the book on the counter to pay for it.
