Jane and Catherine have an antique cluttered house, unpaid bills, and a memory of marriage to the same man, now deceased. His will states they can live in the house if they don't sell its contents. They discover some jewels and a wily antique dealer gets them to accept a down payment and from then on everything they do to rectify matters gets them in deeper.|6 women, 2 men
2m, 6w. 3 acts. 1960. 1 complicated set. Large mirror shatters on stage. 2 generations in cast. 3 costume changes apiece including 2 very elaborate costumes. Cigar smoke as prop. Final curtain falls on bidding war for emeralds. More fun to watch than to read, I imagine. Possibilities with some editing for our cast and stage.
