Preaching isn't like archery, where the bull's-eye is clearly marked and the target is stationary. As veteran preachers have discovered, it's not always easy to spot the core interests and needs of a particular congregation. Often they are not openly displayed, and they're constantly changing. Pastors aiming to apply the Word of God to the people of today will find their sights pointed in the right direction by this book. This first volume in the MASTERING MINISTRY series addresses the questions pastors are asking and the questions seminarians will be asking once they get acclimated to ministry. Today's preachers who want their sermons to relate to everyday life are asking hard questions. How do you deal with that oh-so-delicate subject of sex? How do you preach about money without appearing to meddle? How do you motivated your congregation to 100% commitment? How much do you reveal of your own personal struggles in order to relate to your audience? This book was great.

It was good to learn from other preacher’s experiences. They helped me see the relevance of what we do from the pulpit in a more profound way.

Plus, I’m thankful because each one of them gave me practical advices I can easily apply.

It was also nice to know they have battles and challenges like me when delivering a message.

I’ve been inspired more than ever to be true to the Gospel and help others understand the whole counsel of God.

I highly recommend this book to any preacher who wants to keep learning and growing in his gift.
