This is a good early-grade NF animal book, although I'd like more about the animal and less about a squirrel safari.
Using the phrase "squirrel safari" was a nice moment for me. I hope you enjoyed it as well.
Book includes: facts about the animal (75 different types of squirrels in North America? whoa. Squirrels lick and/or touch nuts before burying it. Marking it with sweat and saliva helps squirrels located nuts later, even under a foot of snow) pictures of different varieties, how-to safari section for squirrel watching, glossary, index, list of places to find more, an an about the author.
