A great book when you need some basic tips and inspiration. Separate sections for drawing eyes, mouths, hair cuts, getting the shine on hair, face shapes, clothing, accessories etc. Even tips on drawing proportions for manga children (chibbie) and manga elderly people. Very easy to follow and many examples of manga bodies in motion doing sports or melancholy school girls being demure and endangered.
One complaint: whoever drew all the pictures is clearly right handed, as about 98% of all the faces of the manga drawings are facing the same way. Having some flip-side examples would have broken up the pattern and given more variety for the amateur drawer to practice with.
Still I would love to own this book, and keep it around for whenever I need to kick start my drawing again.
