This book describes the author's "neoclassical trend model," which presents a novel approach to objectively evaluating trend direction and quality. A very dry book, written in a more academic tone than I would prefer -- not the most readable book ever written. In fact, I fell asleep multiple times reading it. However, I do think there is value here. I also think his second book, which I recently started as well, offers even more value because it offers practical information derived from the theories presented in this book. So the two can go hand in hand in that way.
