She was born in Oslo, and is a daughter of Øystein Dahle. She made her literary début in 1987 with Audiens (Audience), a collection of poetry. This is my third books by her. And she hasn't disappoint me.
Snill is one of those books that tells a simple story, written also very simply, until you ponder and think about what really is the message behind this. Because I know there's always somethig deep behind Dahle's story.

Snill tells a story about a girl name Lussi who is just kind. Everything about her is just nice. But who would ever thought that being nice can make her feel invisible. The story goes from that.
I love the outcome, I love the end of the story.
Gro Dahle is again and again swept me off my feet.

It`s a good description of how you become invisible if you are too kind...sadly, if your quiet and just do as your supposed to do nobody notice you...but what is so nice is that Lussie finally stands up and screams that she`s there too and i love that:D

[Hardcover]

I read this with my 6 year old daughter, and she was very focused. She didn't identify with Lussi and what she goes through, but that might just be a good thing :) For me personally, the book was a bit too word-heavy. It drowned out the message, which is a really nice one.

Very good as usual when it comes to Gro Dahle. Beautiful language, poetic. However once again I feel the ending to be missing a couple of pages. Just to wrap things up a little better. But I still liked it very much. Just not one of her best.
