Just shy of her eighteenth birthday, Ambria Burke wants nothing more than to be free—free to enjoy the world, meet new friends, and explore the alluring thrill of love and romance. So when her loving, but over-protective father decides to choose a husband for her, she feels the need to escape the confines of her safeguarded home to embark on a secret middle-of-the-night excursion.

The freedom she longs for is quickly cut short, however, when she makes a surprising discovery that will change her life forever. Having put herself in grave danger, Ambria is now forced to address her mother’s sudden disappearance seventeen years ago, as she wonders if her father’s worst fears will soon become a reality.

Forget Me Not by Elizabeth Schmeidler was one of the best books I've read in a long time. The characters were well developed and the plot was interesting and original; I couldn't put this book down. I kept telling myself just one more chapter but by the end I had to read what happened next! From the very first chapter Elizabeth Schmeidler throws the reader into the life of the young heroine and instantly hooks your attention. I cared for the characters and their well-being by the time Chapter 2 was finished and I felt I needed to know how the story would end for them. I love mystery novels and I reluctantly took a chance on reading this christian romance but I'm so glad I did. It was original and unexpected; I couldn't have been more pleased with my purchase! This book has it all, the element of surprise that had me guessing down to the very last page, those wholesome christian values that you wish more people had and unfortunately you don't see very often, and a romantic love story that plucks at your heart and makes you wish you were in fact the heroine of the story. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone...

This book, Forget Me Not is a must read! Well written, easy to read, definitely holds your attention. Can't put it down-- It may be fiction, but you come away with lessons learned, food for thought. Especially with Scripture entertwined, just at the right places.
It is the best ending to a story I have ever read. You are not left hanging. Liz finished the story line out, which I enjoyed and loved. It makes the story complete.
This book is better than a movie. Thanks Liz for a great book.

I wanted to show support for Elizabeth, so I went to the book signing and bought one. She told me it was a ‘chick’ novel. I thought to myself, I don’t think I’ve ever read a woman’s romance novel, and though I feel a little foolish admitting this, I couldn’t put it down! Elizabeth wears her faith on her sleeve…instead of just complaining about how our culture is exploiting human sexuality, she put romance in the context of true love, of heroic love. The novel just really worked. If you are a fan of Christian Romance, you’ll love this book!
