Oh boy.
This was an ARC read for me and I always feel honoured to get a sneak peak of a new novel. So thank you 🙏🏼
But this was not the book for me.
This book lacks “storytelling”. It is heavy on the descriptive narrative. There is “too much” going inside these characters heads. I love multi POV. But the internal narrative and descriptive scene setting is overkill.
There are plenty of relationships in this book. And the characters are all sex obsessed. They are either giving detailed, internal dialogue about how they want to have sex or they are reliving, in excessive detail, the sex they just had.
But you know if that’s your jam and you want lots and lots and lots of sexy times and sword crossing - fill your boots. But when one encounter takes up 21 pages straight! You lose the story.
So is there a story? Of course there is and it has potential to be intriguing but I felt like I was wadding through waist deep water trying to get to it.
This is a reverse harem and more will be added to the coming books in this series.

The title and cover of this book is what first grabbed my attention and I am so glad it did. This book is my first one by Ann Grech and I really enjoyed the writing and plot. It is quite steamy and the cliffhanger has the perfect amount of angst to keep me thinking about the characters until the next book comes out.
Zali is absolutely the Queen that she says she. She is incredibly smart and while putting up a confident and cold exterior actually has a heart of gold. I admire her being strong enough to dig into the past in order to protect the ones she loves.
Flynn is such a sweetheart and we must protect him at all times. He is so protective of Zali and I love the way he loves her.
Ryder needs to get onboard with Zali because I want to see more of him and the strength that comes with him.
Tristan is definitely a professorhole and I loved every minute of it.
I need more Ezra. We get some glimpses of him throughout the book but I am curious to see his role in the next book and read more in POV.

I am really grateful about receiving this book as an ARC and I wish Ann the best on future endeavours.
This is an Australian based, reverse harem/polyamorous, bisexual, contemporary erotica (I can't really call it a romance).
Zali is a prodigy hacker, assisting the federal police in taking down bad guys. She's body confident, sex forward, and a no shit taker and I respect that. In her life she's got her golden retriever best friend Flynn, her broody right hand man (and brothers best friend) Ryder, and her police handler Ezra. All 3 men have harboured secret desires for her and eachother for years. Yet somehow she's either been blind, oblivious or in complete denial about it, until a sexy professor comes along and opens her eyes to the possibilities of suddenly banging her besties.
Zali and Flynn are tasked to attend a class and assist Professor Tristan investigate a cold case of an investment company collapse (that Zali's mother ran). His aim is to put together a podcast exposing Zali's mother as criminally negligent. Zali's aim is to apparently destroy the professor and prove her mother's innocence.
Zali and the Professor's relationship moves from insta-lust to insta-hate, to insta-sex, to insta-love in what felt like 3 chapters. You've been warned.
If you come for smut, this book's got you. It's MM, MF, MMF, and eventually will be MMMMF over the next books.
Overall it's smut heavy and plot light.
I'm a smut girlie, my kindle library is littered in all the shades of moral depravity. But if I find myself getting to the point of skim reading a sex scene, it means it's over saturated and I'm getting impatient for the actual plot. Like one scene ran for over 20 pages and unless I'm well medicated and it's the most well written, creative, emotionally invested sex scene of my life, I don't have that level of attention span. In this book if the character's are aren't having sex, they are fantasing about having sex or having an internal monologue reviewing the sex they've just had. It's... a lot. Only occasionally do they do some actual work on the case.
I wanted to rate this higher, but the plot to smut ratio wasn't balanced enough for me and there were issues in the first few chapters I had to force myself to push through.
The way Flynn was initially off handedly mentioned, made me think Flynn was Ryder's first name (because only Ryder was physically in the scene) and I cringed so hard... There will only ever be one Flynn Ryder in this world. It wasn't until a few pages later I realised they were two seperate people and calmed the fuck down, cause I don't know if i'd of been able to continue at that point.
Anyway, it ends in what some would call a 'cliff hanger.' I will read the next one as what plot there is, is interesting enough for me to want to find out what happens.
If you've made it this far into my review and are looking for a a smutty escapist read that you don't want to think to hard about, this is one to put on your TBR.

That’s it I’m going back to uni and finding me a professor!

I love some smut with a plot! A plot!!!! It was a plot that kept you interested and had great descriptions and imagery. The plot was fire to match the hot and Spicey spice.
We also have a badass girl boss! She is confident like I mean she oooozes confidence!
I love that the author has written the ultimate girl boss with so many layers! She is a queen, in more ways than one.
One of my favourite spice scenes included this lovely d*ck therapy “It instantly calmed me like a pacifier given to a baby”
Also CLIFFHANGER BEWARE I NEEEEEEED ANSWERS!
The author wrote such a awesome plot that had you guessing, investigating, theorising and questioning the whole time. WHILST adding some beautiful beautiful smexy times with multiple lovers.

Well I wasn’t expecting this… the spice… the spice is oh my!!! It’s my kind of dirty… this was a good first book but I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.. like will Ry join? And Ezra wtf did you do?? And Z is such a badass h. She gives zero fucks and I love that about her.

What an awesome read! Amazing characters with the spiciest sex (Carolina Reapers, not green capsicum!) that added to the amazing storyline. Believable actions and a plot that had me second guessing everything! Can't wait for the next in the series.

Sexy, intriguing, suspenseful. Now that the whole trilogy is out there, my read of the first in this trilogy is finally done and I have butterflies in anticipation of where this story goes next. There are so many complex and sexy characters in this why choose suspense filled novel.
When it comes to the erotica it's dirty and messy, detailed and engaging. The fluids are flowing, swords are crossing, emotions are engaged.
The romance doesn't unfold all at once, some of it is insta, some of it is slowburn. The poly relationships are teased at and going by the blurbs come together over the trilogy. The thoughts of the various characters hint at a bit of a free for all eventually. Emotionally and physically. So far, there is only mmf and m/f in this book, but eventually, I assume mmmmf. I've read some of Grech's contemporary mmf series and her m/m parts of the relationships are generally as well developed as the m/f and mmf parts. But the suspense gets more page time here than the day to day of poly relationships, so there is a fast-paced fantasy feel to the drama.
The suspense part of the story is edgy and delves into the greys. Zali is a vigilante hacker, dubbed the Queen. She doesn't play by the rules. Sometimes on the right side of the law, but more often than not, breaking them to bring people down. The suspense centres around trying to figure out what led to the downfall of her mother's investment company and the enventual death of her mother and Zali's brother.
I am so here to devour this trilogy.

Ann Grech never fails to deliver a story that pulls me in, and PROFESSORHOLE is another one. A wonderful, edgy, steamy, love story with amazing characters who I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know. This may be a slowburn read, but Ann definitely didn't hold back on the heat ... just how I like it, and the heat is definitely scorching.
Zali IS the QUEEN. A hacker by trade, she's not afraid to choose what she wants, especially when it comes to men. To those who don't know her she appears to have a cold, hard exterior, but buried beneath is a woman who has a massive heart, loves deeply, fiercely loyal, and a treasure to behold. Flynn is the best friend every girl wants and needs in her life. I adored him, though he may have been quiet, when he finally emerged from his cocoon what an amazing butterfly he was. He is definitely Zali's knight, a defender and as protector. Ryan, well he's a bit of a mystery. He tends to stand back and ponder more than act. I just wish he would get out of his head and take some action. Tristan, the 'professorhole', well let's just say the name is definitely appropriate, but I couldn't help falling for him. Finally, there's Ezra, I need more of him to form a real opinion, but he had my head spinning. Suffice to say Zali and her men are simply delicious, salacious, I can't get enough of them.
Anne's storytelling is, as usual, superb. Her words continually compelling me forward through this intriguing, emotional, and sexy read. Word of warning though, it does end on a cliffhanger ... grrrr. Now to wait for Bosshole.
A compelling and recommended read.

I did not expect all of that heat!
What a fabulous character Zali is, she most definitely is the Queen!
She has so many men slobbering at her feet, waiting for any crumb of attention, always ready to pounce!
This young woman is an infamous hacker, sorry, I meant cyber investigator. She is a risk taker, a rule breaker, a dirty, dirty girl who wields her body as a weapon of distraction to get whatever and whoever she wants. Lucky for her she doesn't need to choose, so she has ;
A professor...it was instant lust that flared as hot as the sun.
A detective...he has been watching her, protecting her all while craving her badly.
Brother's best friend...he is her driver/pilot/bodyguard all rolled into one, the silent type.
Childhood sweetheart...the boy who grew up to be an amazingly loyal and loving man, that will do absolutely anything for her, even if he has to share her.
Apart from driving all of these men crazy she has a goal, she will do anything necessary to clear her dead mothers name. In this endevour she will put everyone's lives in danger, but she will not be stopped....until that damn cliffhanger at the end.
Well that was a roller coaster of a story, with so much at stake somebody needs to stop that woman. I cannot wait for the next book, I need answers....

Buckle up for this spicy adventure!!! Zali is the epitome of her alter ego, Queen. She is fierce, smart, strong, takes what she wants, doesn’t care what others think, will do what she wants to when she wants to and has the looks of every guys wet dreams! Zali puts up a hard and cold front but those that are lucky enough to get close to her know she loves deeply and has a heart of gold. Zali has had her share of difficult times which has made her who she is today and the best at what she does. Add in the sweet innocence of Flynn, her best friend since they were kids., who finally starts coming out of his shell. The mysterious and loyal Ryder, her brother’s best friend, who needs to man up and go after what he truly wants. Tristian, the hot professorhole, that truly lives up to that name. Let’s not forget Ezra, Zali’s police handler, who’s conflicted feelings will give you whiplash. Add them all together and you get one amazing book. Can’t wait for the next installment of their story!!!

This was my first read by the author, but it won’t be the last. I LOVED it! It may be slow building, but it’s fast burning, and Zali can be my queen any day. She absolutely has earned her alter’s moniker. She’s got a large personality and isn’t afraid to run the room the moment she walks in. Her men are all amazing, and I am looking forward to seeing how things develop with Zali and each of them as they have to confront their feelings. The heat between her and her BFF, her ‘professorhole’ instructor, her first mate/captain/right hand man, and her boss with the police is undeniable. I wish I knew why they were holding back, whether it was age gap, professionalism, loyalty, etc. I can’t wait for what’s to come after that cliffhanger because I would never want to be on the wrong side of Queen.

How can I be a hacker, enroll in a class with a snarky professor, have a police handler, a partner in crime (literally) and a squishy cinnamon roll bestie - all of whom are CRAZY hot and adventurous in … ahem… ways? HOW??????
Lets put aside conflict of interest while we go on this adventure while Zali (double points for a Z name!) and her buddy dive into the collapse of her mother’s former company. But really, Zali doesn’t spend much time doing that. Instead, she’s doing pretty much everyone and living her best “why choose” life while solving cases and hacking to her hearts content.
I don't want to spoil this and just rehash the blurb, but seriously, its a goodie. And the best part? THERE ARE TWO MORE BOOKS IN THIS SERIES. (That means 15 star spice, right??)

This is basically just erotica with a sprinkle of plot. Every page is either sex or thinking of sex.
If you’re wanting a deep read you won’t find it here.
The spice is top notch.

She is a complex character and you will get to see how and why she became Queen. She is fierce and to be in her world is to be among the greats. She loves fiercely and will not apologize for it.

OMG🌶️🌶️🌶️!! First off that cover is incredibly HOT! Zali is everything a Queen B***h should be! She smart, beautiful and knows what she wants and goes for it. The men on the other hand all have a few issues, but what would a good story be without character issues. It just makes them that more enjoyable! The Steamy scenes were great and should definitely be read in private.
I can’t wait for the next book, where it left off was kind of ,a groan out loud and obsessively start looking for information on the next book ,moment. If you like hot scenes with a why choose heroine and a little bit of a mystery involved well then this is the book for you!!

Don't read this at work or where anyone can look over your shoulder. I may have shocked some commuters on the train but oh well. This is my first read by this author so I was in for a surprise. She sure knows how to pen a sex scene or two...or a hundred lol.
Zali is a hacker queen, living quite laviously on her spoils, along with the men in her life. She's not afraid to go for who or what she wants.
Flynn, Ryder and the professor were all protective of her, and shared her. I'm thinking Ezra will make more of an appearance in the next stories.
This story ends with a cliff hanger, things have gone awry and trouble found them.
Great story, I look forward to the next one.

I read this series after Sweet as Puck, to get the backstory about Zali, her father Monroe and the podcast investigation. I'm glad I started with that series first since Sweet as Puck was more balanced between character/story development and the spicier parts, whereas this BBB series was more spice than story. The Billionaire Boss Babe series may not have been my favorite, but I appreciate when authors can write a broad array of relationships/spicy scenes, as some readers may prefer some themes/kinks over others.

Zali is one strong woman, who takes what she wants and doesn't care what anyone thinks about it. The men around her all want her (& each other) - the chemistry between them all is HOT.
There's some drama - Zali's job isn't exactly legal, and trying to clear her mother's name pushes her to do some dangerous things - and a cliffhanger ending, but I can't wait to see where it goes from here!

Who doesn't love a heroine who knows what she wants and who she wants and isn't afraid to own her feelings and desires. Zali is what every strong female encompasses and I loved everything about her. The guys surrounding her are all different and intriguing and together they are all dynamite. This book is seriously hot...you may need to wear gloves because your kindle will burn you as it melts. A fantastic story with a massive cliffhanger ending. Can't wait for the next book!!!!!

2.5 🌟 for me. This is contemporary why choose erotica marketed as romance. And, while I normally LOVE this genre, this book wasn't my jam. I found the FMC to be irritating and immature. I ABSOLUTELY adore extra spicy times - but at some point, there has to be more of a plot if we're calling it romance and not erotica, right? Idk. Maybe I'm just not in the mood for what this book does offer and that's on me. It is well written even if I'm not a super fan plus 5 🌟 for the sexy cover!

cute and interesting
I was not prepared for this! The title gave me the impression it was going to be a book centered on the professor but we have a plot that is so much more than that. The FMC and her personal conflict make for an interesting read. That and the spice which is great. Can’t read the next one!

Professorhole was much sweeter than I expected with a title like that. It's a lot insta-lust, a little insta-love, a lot best-friends-to-lovers, a little suspense, and a LOT of steam. Not super plot-focused, but the caring and protectiveness of the guys over Zali is so sweet on top of the steamy scenes, so it didn't bother me too much.

This is a definitely a high heat start to this series!
I have enjoyed this book overall despite feeling that the heat, chemistry and connections between the characters are kinda rushed.
The storyline is, on the other hand, pretty slow going and not particularly realistic. It makes this book a good escape location, where you're happy to ignore reality.

This story is more then I ever bargained for. Be warned it is a cliffhanger and you will want to slap the author at the end coz its so well written and she leaves you in a place that's so perfect you will be clamering for the next book now.
