The Girl who loved Two Princes by Scarlett Jane, is the first book I’ve read by this author. I loved how there was a duel timeline going on throughout the story. It was such an interesting take on a royal romance. I found the book to be quite interesting that I enjoyed reading. It’s a pretty long book clocking in at a little over 550 pages; but not once did I find myself losing interest. The characters were enjoyable as was the plot. I recommend reading this book.
4.5 stars out of 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.✨ Characters 5 out of 5 crowns 👑👑👑👑👑
The beginning of the book was very difficult for me to read. The perspectives change very frequently and the writing style just isn't for me. The time change is not a big deal for me, just the writing style. I had a hard time knowing who was thinking or who was talking, whose perspective was it when. I gave this 4 stars, though because I really enjoyed the story. It was a fairly unique plot and the characters had depth and stories for each of them. The interactions between the characters were deep and it just rounded out well.
This book was very well written and kept me engaged the whole time! No dull or prolonged moments here. The dynamic and growth between the main characters were well thought out, and I enjoyed the side by side catching up of past events in line with present events. Definitely a must read. It's sweet, feisty, funny, & mysterious with some "action" thrown in! I look forward to more from this author!
I have to say this is not the kind of book I usually read, however I ended up really liking it. It was full of great characters and the plot kept me turning the pages. Aria's struggle between Aaron & Troy was very difficult. When Troy decided to intervene the action started. A great read.
This isn’t something I usually read but I did enjoy these characters even if I struggled with the timeline. If you like royalty books that are out of the box and unique, you’ll like this.
This was my first book by this author, and let me tell ya, I LOVEEEEED IT!! The characters, the plot, the twists and turns, and the humour were lovely! I loved, and hated, felt anger and rage all at the same time... It's a book you should ABSOLUTLY give it a try 😉
I really liked the unusual timelines and the quirky characters. If you're looking for something totally unique with some regency romance then you'll love it.
I'm very happy to have found this author. The cover art and rough beginning aren't doing it any favors. The beginning feels tacked on and it doesn't speak for the quality of the rest of the book. If you stick with it, the characters feel real and jump off the page. You can't help but care for all involved, the author gave everyone shades of grey so no one feels unexplored or one-dimensional. I will say the format which switches between flashbacks and the present feels sloppy at several points so if that's not your taste this book could be frustrating. However, I think this book was a fun ride. I look forward to reading the next book in the series and recommending this to other romance fans.
