E' un testo tutto sommato scarno, che nel complesso non aggiunge nulla. Si limita a citare le solite prove geologiche, le prove delle estinzioni di massa, di tutt'altra pasta rispetto a qualunque altro testo che cita fonti e autori (si veda il testo di Ivar Zapp, Rand Flem-Ath...).
Sì, si capisce che la datazione della migrazione dello stretto di Bering è obsoleta, si capisce che in Egitto c'è molto di più di quanto si voglia vedere, ma tutto finisce in fiumi di parole spesi su che genere di catastrofe (your pick: terremoti, inondazioni, meteoriti, pianeti che viaggiano liberi nel Sistema Solare) e poi la teoria tutta personale dell'esplosione di una supernova nella costellazione di Vela, che ha spinto un corpo celeste di una decina di volte più grande della Luna verso il nostro sistema solare che ha cagionato la distruzione del pianeta nella cintura di asteroidi tra Marte e Giove e ha sfiorato la terra spostando l'inclinazione dell'asse terrestre, sollevando la massa d'acqua del pianeta che poi si è rovesciata sulla massa terrestre una volta uscito il campo gravitazionale del corpo celeste che è andato da qualche altra parte, eccetera eccetera.
Insomma, supposizioni non suffragate da prove scientifiche alla Velikovsky, con insinuazioni sul fatto che un tempo Marte poteva essere stato verde allo stesso modo di Venere (e non ho mai letto che la NASA abbia esplicitamente parlato di vita su Marte in passato).

Lepa knjiga, pa je preporučujem onima koji vole ovakvu tematiku. Potrudio se da objasni preko dokaza i teorija kako je nestala nekada drevna civilizacija, nastanag ledenoga doba i nasleđe Atlantide u našoj civilizaciji preko mitova, legendi i arheoloških dokaza.

This book gave me a lot to think about. If the information is as written, the Author makes a good case for this theory. And it does seem a bit odd that almost all ancient civilizations have the same basic story in their myths. I did enjoy this book.

I loved this book for the questions it asked, the fascinating yet-to-be-solved mysteries it made me aware of and the literally fantastic possible solution he came up with.
