Yes, I have a lot of books, and if this is your first visit to my amazon author page, it can be a little overwhelming. If you are new to my work, let me recommend a few titles as good places to start. I love my Dan Shamble, Zombie P.I. series, humorous horror/mysteries, which begin with DEATH WARMED OVER. My steampunk fantasy adventures, CLOCKWORK ANGELS and CLOCKWORK LIVES, written with Neil Peart, legendary drummer from Rush, are two of my very favorite novels ever. And my magnum opus, the science fiction epic The Saga of Seven Suns, begins with HIDDEN EMPIRE. After you've tried those, I hope you'll check out some of my other series.

I have written spin-off novels for Star Wars, StarCraft, Titan A.E., and The X-Files, and I'm the co-author of the Dune prequels. My original works include the Saga of Seven Suns series and the Nebula Award-nominated Assemblers of Infinity. I have also written several comic books including the Dark Horse Star Wars collection Tales of the Jedi written in collaboration with Tom Veitch, Predator titles (also for Dark Horse), and X-Files titles for Topps.

I serve as a judge in the Writers of the Future contest.

My wife is author Rebecca Moesta. We currently reside near Monument, Colorado.

Another mixed bag of sci-fi, fantasy and ... oh here's a new one, the great outdoors (or somesuch thing). Which - to cut to the chase - is Kevin Anderson's way of sneaking hobby jornaling into a book.

First two sections are the regular fare: first five stories all take place in the same realm and deal with portals to alternative (but only just) worlds. I enjoyed them and could have read a whole book in just this world. But, five is all you get, so if you like where those are going ... you're sol.

There are a few shorts that didn't entice me at all, and (as to be expected) a few I liked very much.

This writer has written a million things - none of which I have engaged with in any of its forms (a whole bunch of Star Wars stuff, X-Files stuff and Dune stuff ... and that's just a sliver of his footprint). He's certainly prolific enough to do whatever the heck he wants to - and good on him. I just don't think I care that much for his style or subject matter.

this is my first reading of this author's works. Quite a pleasant surprise. just read the 5 alternative world/portal stories, the 2 memorable ones are the one about the medical discovery of a cure for MS and the other is the one about the mass murderer.

is the seven suns saga worth reading (afraid to get started because of its length :-) )?
