Solid, concise, well organized, but a little repetitive in spots. A good primer for anyone contemplating adding a compost pile to their yard or garden. The only negative is the copyright date, 1992, because prices mentioned for tools and supplies are definitely outdated. That minor problem is easily remedied with online research into current prices.

This is an older book and so adorably optimistic about how trash management will have evolved by now! But of course instructions on composting don’t need to be modern.
