This was much more satisfying than the first book, simply because there was a rival for the prince to deal with. I think there could have been much more to the story had they made Prince Ricardo actually feel something for the princess rather than a pawn or a possession to be held. And there was disappointment at how smoothly the fact that he had abducted the princess was dealt with. Though I think it was kept that way because this was the last volume.
