As the title suggests, this is a wide-ranging collection of prayers, which has been arranged thematically. Prayers of praise and thanksgiving, for our home and family, the Church and the world are all included. There are special sections for Celtic prayers and prayers of the American Episcopal Church. The editor has written many of the prayers specially, but also included are many others, familiar and unknown, by a wide range of writers including Mother Teresa, John Stott and Jane Austen.
