YA Fantasy Classic! Read this series when it first came out. Now binged! Still so magical. I love the world the author created so much. Bree, Kian, and Logan are the best love triangle I've read. So hard to choose!

I'm not sure why I'm still reading these...I guess I feel like I've come this far I might as well go the distance.

The Kian/Breena/Logan love triangle is, for the most part, over so clearly that means that another triangle must form, this time with Alistar/Rose/Logan. Yes, that's right, Logan's caught in this one too. And again Rose must chose between her love from childhood, Alistar, and this new budding love with Logan, whom she has also known for years because he's friends with her brother.

So yeah, we spend most of this story listening to Rose's inner dialog debating with herself and her feelings for the two men. Just like we spent the previous books listening to Breena's.

Alright I reread the few books in this series that I read before I got hold of the rest/before they were released, and with the flip of point of view changed to someone different that sort or ruined the book. I can tell right away whether or not I like a book and I knew from the first page I was going to hate this book. I had not want of urge to finished this book. I'm pretty sure I'm only 20 pages in and I have to want to finish. Since I'm pretty sure that this book will be important to the other 2 books after I have no idea when I'll be finishing this series that I've been at since 2011. Yes that long. I was ultimately surprised that she managed to drag the series out this long. The problems Bree and Kian face are just about identical. I'm surprised I picked up this series after I reread the 3 books I had read. That tells me that my choice of book has changed drastically. Don't ever get me started on the contingency errors through-out the book. When you start to forget the name of the leads father, that's a warning you are either A) writing to many books at a time, I've seen the release dates of her 20 or so series she decides to write, meaning she was doing that. Or B) you have to many books in a series that could've ended at book 3 or 4, and yet there are 8, yes 8 books where she drags the relationship between Kian and Bree. I have no idea if I have to will to finish this series maybe some day in the future when I decide to drink so I have to capacity to read these books, which will be a long time away. I may still be under the drinking age and I've had chances to drink, but I decide not to, and it probably wont happen that much after I hit 21. So I may never finish this series and I don't feel bad at all about that. Date Started June 28th, 2014. Day I Knew this series sucks: July 2nd, 2014. Day I will continue this series: Probably long after I'm dead, and being a ghost or if hell gets boring (Which I seriously doubt, come on as a ghost I could do some serious damage to peoples lives)

I am really disappointed that this book isn't available for the Nook through BN yet. Books 1 thru 5 (including 3.5) are available. Does any one know what the delay in relasing the digital format is?

This was just awful. 80% fluff. Good grief... and there is going to be another one? How much more suffering must I endure until I find out what happens to Breena and Kian?

Frost Fire is the 6th book in Kailin Gow's Frost series, although this time around things are a little different.
In this book the point of view switches from Breena's to Rose's.
Having read the first five books from Breena's point of view it felt a little strange for me for it to switch in the middle of the series. I can understand having a spin off book in another character's point of view, but not for the main books in the series.

So I was a little sceptical going into this one, but I love Kailin Gow's writing style and I love this series so I wasn't going to let the change in characters put me off. I am so glad I didn't!
I'll admit it took me a few chapters to get a feel for Rose as the main character but after that she really started to grow on me. When I got to the end of the book I'd completely fallen for her character! In the past few books Rose hasn't had any major roles until book 5 when she really started to show up a lot. So her charcter has been slowly growing on me over the past two books really.

As for the plot in this book. I honestly had no idea where Kailin was going to take it, I really thought that pretty much everything was wrapped up in book 5 so I had no idea what to expect.
Once again Kailin manages to whip up an amazing story for our favourite characters with dangers and excitement around every corner!

Although the book is exciting and fast paced it does seem a bit shorter than the previous five books, I'm not sure if maybe that was just me whizzing through the book or not because I'm getting so used to the writing style in these books.
After saying there is a lot of excitement, believe me there really is. Not a lot actually happens plot wise in this book, it feels as though everything is being put into place for something big in the next book Spring Frost. Which I am so looking forward to being released this year!

Overall I really enjoyed seeing things from a different point of view, even though at first I wasn't too sure about it. Rose is a complex yet loveable character and I really hope everything falls into place for her in the next book.
One last thing to say on this series - I am finally all caught up with it! yay! I'm looking forward to taking a little break from these characters until Spring Frost is released in April!

I didn't think I'd like this book because it wasn't involving Breena and Kian much but I did enjoy it and I really like Rose she's sweet and dedicated and really likes Logan even though he only has eyes for Breena. At times though Rose could drive a person crazy with her indecision about who she should be with (I wanna know why girls are always in a love triangle with great looking guys who are usually polar oppisites). I really wanted the story to go on that is one major cliff hanger someone from Logan and Breenas old high school turns up and is claiming to be the Sorceress and is challenging Breena UGH! WHAT HAPPENS!?
I don't think I would give this book particularly 4 stars though because really not much happens other then Rose, Logan, Shasta, Rodney and Alistair face their demons and Alistair is possesed by the Sorceress and they get the 2 suns back in the sky. The reason I give it 4 stars though is because I like the series and it always leaves me wanting more, besides I believe every other book is just a build up to the next book anyways.

I felt like this book was super predictable. Bree's lack of conviction in her relationship with Kian is just annoying at this point. I feel like this series has reached its ending point an just needs to wrap up. The books themselves are so short that if you were to combine some of them this probably just could have been a trilogy.

There were a lot of character mistakes. It was a bit distracting. Breena was once called Brian. They "looked at Breena" when she wasn't even in the scene. Rose thought back to when she loved Rodney... Her brother... When it was suppose to be thinking of Allistar. Rodney talked to Rodney. Overall, a decent story though.

this time around its from rose's point of view... i wasnt sure how it was going to turn out, but i thought rose was talked about well enough in previous books for us to be able to transition over to her... but anyways i really liked it, it was a nice change of pace... im, hoping logan will be able to love someone else after all

I just finished the series and though satisfied with the ending, am wishing for more. The book had many emotions and was exciting all the way through. I highly recommend reading this book if you enjoy fantasy and romance. Especially fairy stories. Definitely put this as one of my favourite book series.

3.5 ; I was disappointed in this book. I have really enjoyed the rest of the Frost series but this felt likes story thrown together by an amateur writer, not the Kailin Gow books I so look forward to reading.

This series could have been 1 or 2 longer books. I loved getting to know rose and reading from her p.o.v. however, to switch the character p.o.v. now, seemed very odd to me. I felt like the series is drawn out a bit at this point.

Why didn't I see that coming?

Again Kailin Gow remains true to her characters and the land she has created. Her story continues. No spoiler alert but I should have seen this character coming. The book is fun and fast reading.
