I thought that the natural question and answer format of this nonfiction book was very appealing. I really enjoyed reading it, and I thought it covered a lot of important information. It definitely touched on all things ocean-related. In my opinion it would be a great book to read in a classroom, as it encourages the preservation and caring of our world's oceans and all that inhabit it.

Such a great book for kids. It covers a multitude of questions that kids (and adults) will come up with. Nice answers that don't dumb down the information. Some of the illustrations seemed off, like the fish that shouldn't have eyes, but have them anyways. But overall, a fantastic book to read WITH a child.

This is a neat book that is set up very different than most books. It is set up in a question and then the answer format. The pages are filled with questions about the ocean and then the answer follows the question. The pictures help support the questions and the answers on that page. The questions vary and the answers are short and to the point. It addresses many topics about the ocean and what is in it. I am not sure if there is a unit I would use this book with but I really like how it is set up and all the information it covers. I might use this book to be an example of a final project that can be completed about a topic we learn about and complete a book like this one. The back of the book has an index and information about the author. The pictures have labels so that can be a feature that is explained. This books seems to be for stronger readers in lower grades. I think it would be great in a classroom library and there are other topics in this book set up available too. Really neat and a different style of a book!

We bought this before visiting the ocean to help me answer any questions that Nakyla was going to have. I thought this book was helpful as a way to help me teach her. When she is older, she'll be able to listen to more of it.
